<p>Wikipedia, which says it offers "the second draft of history", is one of the few remaining major fact-checked Russian-language sources of information for Russians after a crackdown on media in Moscow.</p>

<p>"The government is targeting information that is vital to people's lives in a time of crisis," LaPorte said. "We urge the court to reconsider in favor of everyone's rights to knowledge access and free expression."</p>

<p>The Moscow court argued that what it cast as the disinformation on&nbsp;Wikipedia&nbsp;posed a risk to public order in Russia and that the Foundation, which is headquartered in San Francisco, California, was operating inside Russia.</p>

<p>The Foundation was prosecuted under a law about the failure to delete banned information. The case was brought by Russia's communications regulator Roskomnadzor, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment on&nbsp;Wikipedia.</p>

<p>According to new research, children who learn to play well with others at a young age have better mental health as they grow older.</p>

<p>The findings of the research were published in the journal `Child Psychiatry and Human Development`.</p>

<p>The findings provide the first clear evidence that `peer play ability`, the capacity to play successfully with other children, has a protective effect on mental health.</p>

<p>Researchers at the University of Cambridge analysed data from almost 1,700 children, collected when they were aged three and seven. Those with better peer play ability at age three consistently showed fewer signs of poor mental health four years later. They tended to have lower hyperactivity, parents and teachers reported fewer conduct and emotional problems, and they were less likely to get into fights or disagreements with other children.</p>

<p>The findings suggest that giving young children who might be vulnerable to mental health issues access to well-supported opportunities to play with peers - for example, at playgroups run by early years specialists - could be a way to significantly benefit their long-term mental health.</p>

<p>Dr Jenny Gibson, from the Play in Education, Development and Learning (PEDAL) Centre at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, said: "We think this connection exists because through playing with others, children acquire the skills to build strong friendships as they get older and start school. Even if they are at risk of poor mental health, those friendship networks will often get them through."</p>

<p>Vicky Yiran Zhao, a PhD Student in PEDAL and the first author of the study added: "What matters is the quality, rather than the quantity, of peer play. Games with peers that encourage children to collaborate, for example, or activities that promote sharing, will have positive knock-on benefits."</p>

<p>The researchers used data from 1,676 children in the Growing up in Australia study, which is tracking the development of children born in Australia between March 2003 and February 2004. It includes a record, provided by parents and carers, of how well the children played in different situations at age three. These covered different types of peer play, including simple games; imaginative pretend play; goal-directed activities (such as building a tower from blocks); and collaborative games like hide-and-seek.</p>

<p>These four peer play indicators were used to create a measure of `peer play ability` - the underlying ability of a child to engage with peers in a playful way. The researchers calculated the strength of the relationship between that measure and reported symptoms of possible mental health problems - hyperactivity, conduct, emotional and peer problems - at age seven.</p>

<p>The study then analysed two subgroups of children within the overall cohort. These were children with high `reactivity` (children who were very easily upset and difficult to soothe in infancy), and those with low `persistence` (children who struggled to persevere when encountering a challenging task). Both these traits are linked to poor mental health outcomes.</p>

<p>Across the entire dataset, children with a higher peer play ability score at age three consistently showed fewer signs of mental health difficulties at age seven. For every unit increase in peer play ability at age three, children`s measured score for hyperactivity problems at age seven fell by 8.4 per cent, conduct problems by 8 per cent, emotional problems by 9.8 per cent&nbsp;and peer problems by 14 per cent. This applied regardless of potential confounding factors such as poverty levels and maternal distress, and whether or not they had plentiful opportunities to play with siblings and parents.</p>

<p>The effect was evident even among the at-risk groups. In particular, among the 270 children in the `low persistence` category, those who were better at playing with peers at age three consistently had lower hyperactivity, and fewer emotional and peer problems, at age seven. This may be because peer play often forces children to problem-solve and confront unexpected challenges, and therefore directly addresses low persistence.</p>

<p>The benefits of peer play were weaker for the high reactivity sub-group, possibly because such children are often anxious and withdrawn, and less inclined to play with others. Even among this group, however, better peer play at age three was linked to lower hyperactivity at age seven.</p>

<p>The consistent link between peer play and mental health probably exists because playing with others supports the development of emotional self-control and socio-cognitive skills, such as the ability to understand and respond to other people`s feelings. These are fundamental to building stable, reciprocal friendships. There is already good evidence that the better a person`s social connections, the better their mental health tends to be. For children, more social connections also create a virtuous cycle, as they usually lead to more opportunities for peer play.</p>

<p>"The standard offer at the moment is to put the parents on a parenting course," Gibson said. "We could be focusing much more on giving children better opportunities to meet and play with their peers. There are already fantastic initiatives up and down the country, run by professionals who provide exactly that service to a very high standard. Our findings show how crucial their work is, especially given that the other risk factors jeopardising children`s mental health could often be down to circumstances beyond their parents` control."</p>

<p>A Spider-Man robot was performing tricks at the Disney California Adventure Park in the United States, but the stunt did not go as planned. A video, which was posted on Instagram, showed the robot swinging on top of a building but while landing, it crashed into the side of a wall. Luckily, it was not a person performing the stunts and although a portion of the building’s wall was visibly damaged, the damage that happened to the robot was not clear. In the video, the robot was swinging with the help of a rope that simulated a spider web. However, according to a report by Fox 11, there was some issue with the rope that resulted in the robot crashing into the building.</p>

<p>It took some time for people to realise that it was a robot and not a human being. Once it was clear that it was not a person, people took to social media to make fun of the incident.</p>

<p>&nbsp;“Looks like Spidey needs to ask Dr Strange another favour.” Another jokingly added, “Imagine people who thought it was a real person,” one of the users wrote on the bottom of the post.</p>

<p>“I have informed the prime minister that based on the current situation, I am no longer part of the coalition,” Orbach said in a statement published by several Israeli media outlets.</p>

<p>Amnesty International has accused Russia of committing war crimes during their shelling over the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. The Russia-Ukraine conflict has already crossed 100 days and Amnesty said on Monday that Russia attacked Kharkiv with scattered mines and cluster munitions resulting in the death of hundreds of civilians. While the use of cluster munitions during any conflict is considered to be a war crime by a number of countries, both Russia and Ukraine have never signed any international agreement which stops them from using the weapons. &nbsp;However, Amnesty International research consultant Jean-Baptiste Gallopin told Reuters that the use of such weapons is not tolerated.</p>

<p>During the investigation conducted by Amnesty International in the aftermath of the Kharkiv raids, they found that around 606 civilians were killed because of the bombing while 600,000 fled. They also confirmed the use of both cluster munitions and scatterable mines during the Russian attack.</p>

<p>"The repeated bombardments of residential neighbourhoods in Kharkiv are indiscriminate attacks which killed and injured hundreds of civilians, and as such constitute war crimes," Amnesty said.</p>

<p>The Amnesty report also held Ukrainian forces responsible for violation of international humanitarian law by positioning artillery near residential buildings. According to the Reuters report, Gallopin said that the presence of the artillery made the buildings an easy target for the Russian bombers but added that this "in no way justifies the relentless indiscriminate shelling of the city.</p>

<p>“The people of Kharkiv have faced a relentless barrage of indiscriminate attacks in recent months, which killed and injured hundreds of civilians,” said Donatella Rovera, Amnesty International’s senior crisis response adviser according to the Reuters report.</p>

<p>“The repeated use of widely banned cluster munitions is shocking, and a further indication of utter disregard for civilian lives. The Russian forces responsible for these horrific attacks must be held accountable for their actions, and victims and their families must receive full reparations,” he added.</p>

<p>Parents of students at Wong Cho Bao School – an institution controlled by pro-Beijing Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers (HKFEW) – has asked its students to undergo seven days of hotel quarantine ahead of an unnamed event where they will be greeting a number of dignitaries.</p>

<p>According to AFP, the school will be paying for all the accommodations and according to&nbsp;a notice from school principal Wong Kam-leung, they will not be meeting their parents as well.</p>

One such story is that of Andriy Pokrasa, 15, and his dad, Stanislav – the duo who are using drones to track the movement of the Russian military. The father-son duo, who lived on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, used a small drone to follow the movement of the Russian tanks and the data was relayed back to the Ukrainian troops. This resulted in a number of successful counter-offensive missions for Ukraine and made them into heroes in the eyes of Ukraine’s people.</p>

<p>“These were some of the scariest moments of my life,” Andriy told Associated Press while recounting the early days of the Russian invasion.</p>

<p>“We provided the photos and the location to the armed forces. They narrowed down the coordinates more accurately and transmitted them by walkie-talkie, so as to adjust the artillery.”</p>

<p>While Stanislav helps with the process, it is Andriy who pilots the drone. “I can operate the drone, but my son does it much better. We immediately decided he would do it,” Stanislav said.</p>

'Hero of Ukraine': 15-year-old boy who stopped Russian tanks with help of his toy drone

<p>Two Iranian aerospace officials, including a member of the Revolutionary Guards’ Corps, were “martyred while on mission” in separate incidents inside the country, the Fars news agency reported Monday.<br />
Ali Kamani, a member of the Guards aerospace division was “martyred” in the city of Khomein in Iran’s central Markazi province, Fars said, quoting a Guards statement.</p>

<p>In a separate incident, Mohammad Abdoos, 33, an aerospace staff member, died in the northern Semnan province on Sunday while on a “mission”, Fars added.</p>

<p>No further details were given on the men or of the circumstances of their deaths.</p>

<p>The Guards accused “Zionists” of being behind the high-profile assassination of Khodai and vowed revenge.</p>

<p>The New York Times later reported that Israel told the United States that the Jewish state was behind the killing of Khodai. The US daily cited an anonymous “intelligence official briefed on the communications”.</p>
