“We are encouraged that after repeated failures by Governor DeSantis to order COVID-19 vaccines even after every other state had ordered, the State of Florida is now permitting health care providers to order COVID-19 vaccines for our youngest children,” said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “We believe it is critical to allow parents everywhere to have the choice to get their kids vaccinated and have a conversation with their pediatrician or health care provider.”

The FDA finally authorised the COVID-19 vaccines for children between the ages of six months and five years on Friday and it is expected to be approved in a CDC vote taking place on Saturday.

The vaccine will be available at pharmacies and community health centers all around Florida and the orders can be placed by children's hospitals and other clinics directly through a state portal.

"Doctors can get it. Hospitals can get it. But there's not going to be any state programs that are going to be trying to get COVID jabs to infants and toddlers and newborns," DeSantis said at a news conference. "That's not where we're gonna be utilizing our resources."

The Shanghai government added that its emergency management bureau has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

The company said in a separate Weibo post Saturday afternoon that it would cooperate with the investigation, and that the closure of relevant facilities "will not have a significant impact on the market".&nbsp;

The person who died was a "third-party transport vehicle driver" and an employee was suffered minor injuries, the company said.

The refinery is located near the south Shanghai seafront and a wetland park.&nbsp;The company said it was conducting environmental monitoring of the nearby area.

"At present, no environmental impact on the surrounding bodies of water has been found," it said.

"Half the sky was full of red fire and thick black smoke, there was dust and cotton-like things floating in the air," the anonymous resident told Chongqing-based newspaper Upstream News.

"The sound of burning could be heard a huge roar like the sound of a plane in flight."

The Ministry of Emergency Management had also dispatched an expert group to the scene, state-run CCTV reported.

This will also help in warning the scientists about any comet or asteroid-like bodies that can be headed towards the earth. Earlier missions like the ESA’s Rosetta spacecraft have visited short-period comets but this will allow them to study it over a much longer period of time.

'Comet Inspector': ESA approves new mission to watch for an interstellar comet

The World Health Organization’s European regional office said on Wednesday that the continent is currently at the “epicentre” of a major monkeypox outbreak. The last few months has seen a serious increase in cases all around Europe and although there have not been many deaths, the infection rate has caused a lot of concern among the authorities. According to the official WHO data, around 85 per cent of the total number of cases in the world – roughly 1500 – is currently present in 25 countries across Europe. &nbsp;Originating from Africa, the monkeypox virus has been spreading at an alarming rate and WHO will decide whether to categorise it as an international health emergency.

The latest guidelines from WHO about Monkeypox asked patients to isolate if they think that they are infected with the virus. Kluge once again repeated the same and urged patients to follow rules.

In a number of countries, the emergency workers are being vaccinated with smallpox vaccines and Kluge said that there are "limited amounts of vaccines and antivirals for monkeypox and limited data on their use", according to AFP.

Aberdeen Restaurant Enterprises, the owners of the institution, told media outlets that the cost of running the business was getting higher by the day and it was becoming impossible for them to continue pumping money into the restaurant. The company was spending millions of dollars each year in maintenance and inspection costs, but the revenue earned did not earn them much profits.

“We do not foresee that it can resume business in the immediate future,” the company said.

The CCTV further reported that Xi was happy with "good momentum of development" when it came to the relationship between China and Moscow and promised to "intensify strategic coordination”.

According to AFP, this was the second call between the two world leaders since the invasion of Ukraine started. China made it clear that they want to “strengthen their communication” with Russia on a number of international organisations and Xi said in the call that they will "push the international order and global governance towards more just and reasonable development".

AFP also reported that Xi has invited Putin to the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics in early February. The two Presidents have shared a cordial relationship over the years and amid the crisis in Ukraine, China remain a strong ally of Russia despite multiple warnings from United States and other major western countries.
