<p>Amazon reported record sales, and an almost 200% rise in profits, as the pandemic accelerated the transition to online shopping. Despite a boycott of its advertising over the summer, Facebook had another blockbuster quarter. Alphabet’s record quarterly net profit was up 59%, as marketers plowed money into advertisements for Google search and YouTube. And Apple’s sales rose even though the pandemic forced it to push back the iPhone 12’s release to October, in the current quarter.</p>

<p>On Tuesday, Microsoft, Amazon’s closest competitor in cloud computing, also reported its most profitable quarter, growing 30% from a year earlier.</p>

<p>“The scene that’s playing out fundamentally is that these tech stalwarts are gaining more market share by the day,” said Dan Ives, managing director of equity research at Wedbush Securities. “It’s ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ for this group of tech companies and everyone else.”</p>

<p>The results were strong despite increasing antitrust scrutiny from regulators. Last week, the Justice Department filed a lawsuit accusing Google of cementing the dominance of its search engine through anti-competitive agreements with device makers and mobile carriers. <p>At least 12 people have been killed and 120 injured in Tukey after the quake hit the country destroying buildings.</p>

<p>The quake was registered 14 kilometres off the Greek town of Neon Karlovasion on the Aegean Sea island of Samos.</p>

<p>Greece said a strong magnitude 6.6 earthquake had hit off the Aegean island of Samos. The shocks were felt in &nbsp;Crete and Greek capital Athens.</p>

<p>Reports said the earthquake caused mini-tsunami on the Aegean island of Samo as several buildings were damaged.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the Indian embassy in Turkey said till now there is no information of any Indian casualty. "Everyone is safe," it added.</p>

The movie is about a boy who turns into a demon slayer after his family is killed, since its release the movie has also been slaying the box office.</p>

<p>In just ten days, Demon Slayer grossed $95 million which is the fastest Japanese film to do so, second on the list - is 'Spirited Away' which took 25 days to to reach the same milestone.</p>

<p>There are a couple of reasons for its success. Japan has always loved the Demon Slayer series. It first emerged as a comic in 2016, the publishers ended up selling more than 100 million copies.</p>

<p>In 2019, Demon Slayer came to television and it was an immediate success even Netflix bought the streaming rights turning Demon Slayer into a global phenomenon. While the movie's box office numbers seem staggering, it was along expected lines and the lack of competition also helped.</p>
