Meanwhile, New York governor Andrew Cuomo asked New Yorkers to markup as he announced that "strong action" was needed to respond to outbreaks and to stop the spread of the virus.

"COVID-19 fatigue is one thing. COVID-19 denial is another," Cuomo said, adding,"remember, you don’t just put yourself at risk when you host large indoor gatherings and flout the law."

Reports said the missile hit its target directly during the test. The test targeted a "direct hit" on pilotless aircraft at medium range successfully achieving its objective.

The missile launch took place from ITR Chandipur off the Odisha coast propelled by a single-stage solid propellant rocket motor.

DRDO, ITR, IRDE worked in tandem with each other to achieve the tests.

The QRSAM weapon system is designed to track targets on the move and can be launched using a mobile launcher capable of carrying six canisterised missiles.

The QRSAM system has been designed by DRDO along with Bharat Electronics Limited and Bharat Dynamics Limited for the Indian Army. The <a href="https://www.wionews.com/photos/india-us-military-cooperation-indian-army-vice-chief-saini-checks-in-at-us-lightning-academy-336696">surface-to-air missile</a> is equipped with electronic countermeasures against jamming by aircraft radars with an&nbsp;automated command centre.

India had earlier tested the missile system in December last year firing two missiles. It was deployed in eastern Ladakh in June this year amid the India-China standoff along the Line of Actual Control(LAC).

Indian forces have carried out at least seven tests earlier of the missile system.

The Army said it has also foiled an infiltration bid along the LoC.&nbsp;Sources in the Army have told WION that “India troops retaliated strongly causing substantial damage to Pakistan Army's infrastructure and casualties across the LoC. Several ammunition dumps, FOL dumps and multiple terrorist launch pads have been damaged.”

In the morning, alert army men foiled an infiltration bid from across following which Pakistan fired on Army positions and civilian areas.

Defence spokesman informed that "suspicious movement" was observed by Indian troops at the forward posts along the LoC.

Officials said that BSF units along the LoC have been facing heavy firing. A BSF soldier &nbsp;SI Rakesh Doval, 39, in Baramulla was killed after he sustained head injury during the firing.

Sources in the Army have told WION that “India troops retaliated strongly causing substantial damage to Pakistan Army's infrastructure and casualties across the LoC. Several ammunition dumps, FOL dumps and multiple terrorist launch pads have been damaged.” In a video, a Pakistani soldier could be seen moving out as an Indian shell hits a bunker on LoC. In the morning, alert army men foiled an infiltration bid from across following which Pakistan fired on Army positions and civilian areas. Defence spokesman informed that "suspicious movement" was observed by Indian troops at the forward posts along the LoC. Officials said that BSF units along the LoC have been facing heavy firing.
