United Kingdom's Conservative MP Lee Anderson is facing the accusation of Islamophobia and racism after he claimed that “Islamists have control” over London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan.

While speaking to GB News, Tory MP for Ashfield claimed that Khan had “given our capital city away to his mates”.

In his rant, which was aired on Friday (Feb 23), Anderson said, “I don’t actually believe that these Islamists have got control of our country, but what I do believe is they’ve got control of Khan and they’ve got control of London. The Indian Navy's newly acquired deep submergence rescue vehicle (DSRV) recently discovered the wreckage of PNS Ghazi, a Pakistani submarine that sunk on the coast of Visakhapatnam on December 4, 1971 amid the India-Pakistan war, The Times Of India reported.

The Tench-class submarine was earlier part of the United States Navy, where it was known as USS Diablo. The wreckage of the submarine was found by the Indian Navy at a depth of around 100 metres, nearly 2 to 2.5 km off the coast.

As per reports, the Indian Navy is not willing to touch the submarine out of respect for those who lost their lives.

The drowning of PNS Ghazi was one of the highlights of the Indo-Pakistan 1971 war which came to an end with the creation of Bangladesh in 1972. There were 93 men (11 officers and 82 sailors) onboard the submarine which sank off the Visakhapatnam coast.

United States former president Donald Trump on Friday (Feb 23) said that he supports IVF treatment, as he joined the list of Republicans who have distanced themselves from a ruling given by an Alabama court over the issue.

The top court of the state last week ruled that frozen embryos have similar rights as children and that people can be held liable for destroying them. After the court's ruling, at least three clinics halted IVF treatment.

Speaking about the issue Trump asked Alabama to find "an immediate solution".

"We want to make it easier for mothers and fathers to have babies, not harder! That includes supporting the availability of fertility treatments like IVF in every State in America," wrote the former president, on his Truth Social platform.

China's Lunar New Year celebrations have got a new flavour as citizens are falling in love with pork-flavoured coffee which has been introduced by Starbucks, one of the largest coffee chains in the world.

The drink, which is strangely becoming everyone's favourite, has a combination of Dongpo Braised Pork Flavor Sauce with espresso and steamed milk and also contains extra pork sauce and pork breast meat for garnish. The drink is being sold across China at a price of ¥68 ($9.45).

Taking to Weibo, the coffee shop wrote, "Eating meat means prosperity in the coming year". It said that the drink brings "traditional New Year customs into coffee," and creates "unexpected savoury and sweet flavours."

Across Asia, Lunar New Year is celebrated as one of the biggest annual holidays. People in China travel back home to celebrate the festivals with their families during this time.

According to government data, around 474 million trips were made within China during this year's travel season.

And although the foods served at the feasts during New Year vary region by region, braised pork makes a frequent appearance.

Pork latte or real braised pork? Chinese make a tough choice

The pork latte gained quick popularity on Chinese social media as the topic received more than 476,000 views on Weibo by the time it was published.

Some of the users expressed curiosity regarding the drink while others remained sceptical as they even pointed to the high price and questioned why should they not eat real braised pork and rather drink the latte.

"For 67 yuan, I could eat a plate of braised pork then go to Luckin and drink two lattes," said a Weibo user.

Pork-flavoured coffee emerges as China’s new love amid Lunar New Year celebrations

In the latest discovery, scientists have found a new and remarkably complete fossil which is said to belong to a 16ft (5m) long aquatic reptile that existed in the Triassic period.

According to scientists, the creature is around 240 million years old and has been called a "dragon" since it has an extremely long neck. It is also known as Dinocephalosaurus orientalis, which is a species that was originally identified in 2003.

This newly found fossil has permitted scientists to analyse the full anatomy of the bizarre prehistoric beast. An international team discovered the fossil from Guizhou Province in southern China, which was then displayed at the National Museums Scotland.

Dr Nick Fraser, who was part of the international team which closely studied the fossil, said that for the first time, scientists have been able to locate the fossil in full. He said that it was "a very strange animal".

"It had flipper-like limbs and its neck is longer than its body and tail combined," Dr Fraser said.

The researcher said that the animal's "long, bendy and flexible neck", which has 32 separate vertebrae, might have given a hunting advantage and allowed Dinocephalosaurus orientalis to search for food present in crevices under the water.

"This discovery just adds to the weirdness of the Triassic," said Dr Fraser, while speaking to BBC News. "And every time we look in these deposits, we find something new,” he added.

Scientists claimed that the animal appeared similar to Tanystropheus hydroides which is a marine reptile from the Middle Triassic period.

"Both reptiles were of similar size and have several features of the skull in common, including a fish-trap type of dentition. However, Dinocephalosaurus is unique in possessing many more vertebrae both in the neck and in the torso, giving the animal a much more snake-like appearance," the research team said, as reported by ABC News.

The international team added that the reptile was "clearly very well adapted to an oceanic lifestyle," as indicated by the flippered limbs and "exquisitely preserved" fishes in its stomach region.

The team had experts from different countries including Scotland, Germany, the United States and China. The paper, which described a set of new fossils of the animal, has been published in the journal Earth and Environmental Science: Transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Three attack drones of Houthi rebels were shot down by the American forces near the commercial ships in the Red Sea on Friday (Feb 23), hours after the United States warned of an environmental disaster from the cargo ship, which was hit by Houthi rebels.

The US military said that they downed three attack drones and even destroyed seven anti-ship cruise missiles, which were positioned on land.

For months, Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis have been targeting shipping and their attacks remain persistent despite American and British armies making repeated strikes with the aim of degrading the ability of rebels to threaten an important global trade route.

Early on Friday (Feb 23), US forces "shot down three Huthi one-way attack (drones) near several commercial ships operating in the Red Sea. There was no damage to any ships," said the Central Command (CENTCOM), on social media.

In a statement, issued after hours, CENTCOM claimed that US forces destroyed "seven Iranian-backed Huthi mobile anti-ship cruise missiles that were prepared to launch towards the Red Sea."

The evening skies in major swathes of the United States and Canada were ignited by a glittering fireball on Wednesday (Feb 21), as a meteor entered the atmosphere of the Earth and immediately burned up.

More than 200 observers reported the dazzling display of meteors in 11 US states and Ontario, as per the data collected by the American Meteor Society. Most of those who spotted the meteor said that they saw it between 6:45 and 7 pm EST, according to the data, and most individual sightings had lasted from 1 to 7 1/2 seconds.

However, some of the reports claimed that the falling space rock was in the sky for some time before it disappeared. As per one report, the fireball was visible for 20 seconds in West Virginia.

The burst of light was captured by various cameras as it zoomed through the skies and various videos were shared on the social media platform.
