<p>PM Modi, during his address, affirmed that his constituency saw the development happening in the city during the last 10 years.</p>

<p>"Kashi is the capital of all knowledge, today that power and form of Kashi is emerging again. This is a matter of pride for the whole of India. We all are just instruments, the one who does it in Kashi is Mahadev. Wherever there are blessings of Mahadev, that earth becomes prosperous," PM Modi said while addressing a gathering at BHU in Varanasi.</p>

<p>"Right now, Mahadev is very happy. So with his blessings, in 10 years, Kashi saw the 'damru' of development playing in all directions," he added.</p>

<p>"People from all over the country and even from every corner of the world come to Kashi in search of knowledge, research and peace. People from every province, every language, every dialect, every custom have come and settled in Kashi," he said.</p>

<p>He asserted that India would experience accelerated development in the coming five years.</p>

<p>"In the next five years, the country will see a new pace of development. With this confidence, the country will create new patterns of success and this is Modi's guarantee," PM Modi said.</p>

In our country, the people of the INDI alliance, who believe in instigating and fighting in the name of caste, oppose the schemes for the benefit of Dalits and the deprived. In the name of the welfare of the poor, these people do politics for their family," PM Modi said.</p>

<p>Supernova 1987A comprises the remnants of an exploded star that at one point had a mass of around eight to ten times that of the sun. It is situated in the Large Magellanic Cloud, which is a dwarf galaxy that is next to the Milky Way and is some 170,000 light-years away.&nbsp;</p>

<p>1987 in Supernova's name refers to the year 1987 when it was first observed by scientists 37 years ago.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Supernova 1987A first burst into dazzling light as it erupted, showering Earth with ghostly particles known as neutrinos. It was the closest and brightest supernova seen in the Earth's night sky in approximately 400 years.</p>

<p>Such kind of supernova explosion is what gives the universe its initial supplies of components including carbon, oxygen, silicon, and iron. These elements can even form molecules that could one day be essential to life, and also ultimately serve as the building blocks of the stars and planets that will develop after them.</p>

James Webb Space Telescope spots evidence of neutron star from supernova remnant

<p>The strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remained closed for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday (Feb 22) following landslides at more than a dozen places in the Ramban district, said the traffic department officials.</p>

<p>Over a thousand vehicles were stranded due to the massive landslides at multiple places along the 270-km stretch which connects Kashmir to the rest of the country.</p>

<p>The highway has been shut since Monday (Feb 19) and the efforts for the restoration of the road for the smooth movement of traffic are still underway.</p>

<p>According to the officials, the traffic was partially restored on Wednesday (Feb 21) afternoon, however, a fresh landslide at Kishtwari Pather near Banihal again blocked the highway.</p>

<p>"Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is still blocked due to major landslides at Kishtwari Pather and Banihal, and intermittent shooting stones at several places between Nashree and Banihal," the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police said.</p>

<p>People have been advised to avoid taking the route until the road is clear.</p>

<p>A construction worker lost his life in the landslide along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway on Thursday (Feb 22), said the officials.</p>

<p>The deceased, identified as Deshpaul (31) from the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, was hit by the landslide outside his company headquarters near Seri in Ramban district around 8.30 am today, said the police officials.</p>

<p>According to the officials, Deshpaul was on his way to the office mess for breakfast when the incident took place.</p>

<p>An official of the traffic department said that the restoration work was in progress and would take some time.</p>

<p>This also comes as the US announced tough new sanctions against Russia over the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny in prison and the completion of two years of the Ukraine war.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Biden, while speaking to the reporters before departing on his trip to California said that the US will announce a major package of sanctions against Russia.&nbsp;</p>

<p>These, according to White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan, will target a range of items, including the country's defence and industrial bases, along with sources of revenue for the economy. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Britain's King Charles, during his first in-person meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak since announcing his cancer diagnosis, said that the messages of goodwill by his well-wishers reduced him to tears.</p>

<p>"I've had so many wonderful messages and cards ... it's reduced me to tears most of the time," Charles said during his weekly audience with Sunak on Wednesday (Feb 21).</p>

<p>"Everyone is behind you," Sunak responded.</p>

<p>The meeting between the two at Buckingham Palace was after the monarch attended a church service at his country residence of Sandringham in eastern England on Sunday.</p>

<p>The UK PM started the meeting by telling Charles that it was wonderful to see him looking so well.</p>

<p>"Well it's all done by mirrors," Charles joked.</p>

<p>Earlier, the 75-year-old monarch expressed gratitude to the people for their messages of support.</p>

<p>In his very first statement since being diagnosed with cancer, Charles said that it was heartening to witness how sharing his diagnosis helped promote a better understanding of the condition.</p>

<p>"I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days," Charles wrote.</p>

'Reduced to tears': King Charles expresses gratitude for overwhelming support after cancer diagnosis

<p>US President Joe Biden's dog Commander reportedly bit US Secret Service agents in at least 24 incidents before he was removed from the White House, new documents reveal.</p>

<p>The newly released United States Secret Service (USSS) documents, which came out to the public through Freedom of Information requests, showed that there were nearly 24 occasions where the German shepherd either bit or attempted to attack Secret Service staff members or others between October 2022 and July 2023.</p>

<p>These incidents include members of the Secret Service being bitten on the forearm, wrist, waist, elbow, shoulder, thigh and chest.</p>

<p>Biden's pet dog left the White House in October 2023 following an incident where a Secret Service agent was immediately rushed for medical treatment following a severe bite.</p>

<p>In June 2023, one of the agents required stitches on the forearm after a "deep bite" by the dog.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In another incident that took place in July 2023, an agent developed a severe deep open wound and needed six stitches after being bitten in the hand by the dog.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also lost a significant amount of blood due to the dog bite.</p>

<p>An unnamed senior agent had in an email, suggested that agents safeguarding Biden and his family "must be creative to ensure our own personal safety".</p>

Amitabh Bachchan shares cryptic note after Rahul Gandhi attacks him, Aishwarya Rai in recent speech

<p>India's Enforcement Directorate issued a seventh summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday (Feb 22) in the case related to his government's excise policy.</p>

<p>He has been asked by the probe agency to appear before it on February 26 for questioning with regards&nbsp;to the excise-policy-linked money laundering case.</p>

<p>The investigation is linked to the money laundering probe in connection to the alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 case.</p>

<p>The agency had earlier issued a sixth summons to Kejriwal on Feb 14, asking him to join the probe on Feb 19, which he skipped, as he did in the previous occasions.</p>

<p>The previous five summons were issued February 2, January 18, January 3, November 2 and December 22, dubbing them "illegal and politically motivated".</p>

<h2><strong>Summons are 'illegal and invalid', says Kejriwal&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Earlier, while skipping the fifth summons issued by the ED, Kejriwal had called it "illegal", claiming that the agency's intention was only to arrest him and stop him from campaigning for the elections.</p>

<p>"All five notices sent to me (by the ED) are illegal and invalid in the eyes of the law. Whenever such general, non-specific notices were sent by the ED in the past, they were quashed and declared invalid by courts. These notices are being sent as part of a political conspiracy," Kejriwal said after skipping the fifth notice.</p>

<p>ED had approached Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court and lodged a complaint against Kejriwal on Feb 3 for non-compliance after he skipped the fifth summons issued.</p>

<p>The Directorate of Enforcement wants to record the Delhi chief minister's statement in the case related to issues about the formation of policy, meetings held before it was finalised, and allegations of bribery.</p>

<p>The shooter, who has not yet been publicly identified, barricaded himself inside a house in Burnsville with multiple children early on Sunday morning. Three first responders were killed and one was injured when the confrontation turned into a gunfight.</p>

<p>The state officers said that the assailant was dead and the seven children trapped inside the house, all ranging between two to 15, were all safely rescued.</p>

<p>Minnesota Governor Tim Walz released a statement saying that the two police officers, Paul Elmstrand, 27, and Matthew Ruge, 27, along with fire paramedic Adam Finseth, 40, were killed "while responding to a call of a family in danger."</p>

<p>"This is heartbreaking," Walz told a press conference Sunday evening.</p>

<p>Emergency dispatch got a call on Sunday from inside a home in Burnsville at around 1:50 am "where a man was reported to be armed and barricaded with family members," said Drew Evans, superintendent at the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.</p>
