<p>A survey conducted by the YouGov poll with nearly 2,086 UK adults for the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) found that people are too tired to make healthy lifestyle choices. It found that nearly 40 per cent of all reported cancer cases can be avoided if people choose to live with a healthy lifestyle.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Additionally, about 35 per cent&nbsp;of the people are just tired to make the necessary healthy changes to their diet and lifestyle which would boost their physical activity levels and help them bridge the gap between intentions and concrete actions.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Around 29% of men and 40% of women cited ‘feeling too tired’ as the main reason behind not being able to achieve their goals of fitness.&nbsp;Other reasons quoted by the individuals include the cost of food (30%), lack of time (26%), work/life balance (25%), cost of exercising (25%), lack of confidence (16%) and “not knowing where to start” (12%).</p>

<p>Only one in four (24%) surveyed stated that nothing stopped them from making healthy changes to their lifestyle.</p>

US oil major ExxonMobil resolves torture case of Indonesian villagers, keeps terms confidential

<p>When Pakistan Army led by General Ayub Khan staged country's first successful coup d'état in 1958, Punjabi poet Ustad Daman mocked it saying, "<em>Mere mulk diyan maujan hi maujan, jidhar dekho faujan hi faujan</em> [My country is having so much fun; there is army till as far as the eye can see]."</p>

<p>For decades, as Pakistani military remained the force that decided the country's fate, Ustad Daman's mockery stood the test of time; a subsistence of dry humour typical of two Punjabs of the Indian subcontinent, bitterly partitioned into present-day India, Pakistan and eventually Bangladesh after the British left in 1947.</p>

<p>But on May 9, 2023, when hundreds of enraged supporters of ousted Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan pushed through the gates of army headquarters in Rawalpindi, the army, unlike Ustad Daman's poetic assertion, was nowhere to be seen.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hours earlier, &nbsp;Khan, Pakistan's cricket icon-turned-populist politician, was <a href="https://www.wionews.com/south-asia/al-qadir-trust-case-everything-about-the-case-that-led-to-former-pak-pm-imran-khans-arrest-590646">arrested</a> from a courtroom in capital Islamabad, where he had sought bail for one of over 142 corruption cases filed against him through the Army-run National Accountability Bureau (NAB).</p>

<h2><strong>Pakistan turmoil: Cracks within the army in spotlight</strong></h2>

<p>For the first time in Pakistan’s history, <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/where-is-pakistan-headed-after-imran-khans-arrest-towards-coup-or-civil-war-591143">action against a political leader inspired a 'mini-intifada'</a> against the military itself. But despite an unprecedented action from Khan's supporters, there is no unprecedented counter-reaction from the army (which history suggests, is usually a coup or imposition of Emergency in Pakistan). Instead, the army was quick enough to ward off the speculations of Martial Law imposition. &nbsp;</p>

When Pakistan Army led by General Ayub Khan staged country's first successful coup d'état in 1958, Punjabi poet Ustad Daman mocked it saying, "Mere mulk diyan maujan hi maujan, jidhar dekho faujan hi faujan [My country is having so much fun; there is army till as far as the eye can see]." For decades, as Pakistani military remained the force that decided the country's fate, Ustad Daman's mockery stood the test of time; a subsistence of dry humour typical of two Punjabs of the Indian subcontinent, bitterly partitioned into present-day India, Pakistan and eventually Bangladesh after the British left in 1947. But on May 9, 2023, when hundreds of enraged supporters of ousted Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan pushed through the gates of army headquarters in Rawalpindi, the army, unlike Ustad Daman's poetic assertion, was nowhere to be seen. Hours earlier, Khan, Pakistan's cricket icon-turned-populist politician, was arrested from a courtroom in capital Islamabad, where he had sought bail for one of over 142 corruption cases filed against him through the Army-run National Accountability Bureau (NAB). ALSO WATCH | Imran Khan arrest: 9 killed, over 2,000 arrested across Pakistan | WION Fineprint × Days later, after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief managed to get bail and a two-week arrest freeze following the Supreme Court's intervention, an emboldened Khan launched an even more vigorous attack on the army; recalling its humiliating defeat in 1971 that led to the creation of Bangladesh and Osama bin Laden's killing in 2011 in Abbottabad in an operation by the US Special Forces. Pakistan turmoil: Cracks within the army in spotlight For the first time in Pakistan’s history, action against a political leader inspired a 'mini-intifada' against the military itself. But despite an unprecedented action from Khan's supporters, there is no unprecedented counter-reaction from the army (which history suggests, is usually a coup or imposition of Emergency in Pakistan). Instead, the army was quick enough to ward off the speculations of Martial Law imposition. The army pulled its guards back, and let the looting of its officers’ homes take place, avoiding bloodshed near key military installations. But why such stoicism? To coup or not coup: Pakistan Army’s options after Imran Khan’s 'mini-intifada'

<p>Hello and Welcome. This is The Capitals.</p>

<p>Little after noon's sun halved over Islamabad on May 9, heavy batons beat through the glasses of a courtroom of the Pakistani capital. Inside the courtroom was the country's cricket icon-turned-political phenomenon Imran Khan.&nbsp;</p>

Tinder updates its community guidelines with focus on inclusivity, real connections

<p>Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government will soon begin a diplomatic campaign to reclaim the Kohinoor diamond and thousands of other treasures taken by Britain during their centuries-long colonial exploits in the Indian subcontinent.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The diplomatic campaign is reportedly dubbed as "reckoning with the past" and is set to be the largest repatriation claim faced by the United Kingdom.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"It is of huge importance to the government. The thrust of this effort to repatriate India's artifacts comes from the personal commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has made it a major priority," Govind Mohan, secretary for India's culture ministry, was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Diplomats in London will make formal requests to institutions holding artifacts seized as spoils of war or collected by enthusiasts during the colonial rule. The process is due to begin this year, The Telegraph report added.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>India's reckoning with colonial history: Return of Koh-i-noor in particular focus</strong></h2>

<p>The Indian government's goal is to secure the return of the Koh-i-Noor diamond, one of the Crown Jewels currently held by the recently crowned King Charles III.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The British Royal family has been in possession of the Kohinoor since 1849 CE, ever since a 10-year-old boy King,&nbsp;Maharaja Duleep Singh was forced to sign the Treaty of Lahore in 1849. Queen Victoria wore the Kohinoor as a brooch.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>ALSO READ |&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wionews.com/opinions-blogs/opinion-who-does-the-kohinoor-belong-to-589189">Opinion | Who does the Kohinoor belong to?</a></strong></p>

<p>Till this date, sections of British media just like Britain's history books state that the Kohinoor was a gift for Britain from India or that "it was handed over to the East India Company".</p>

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government will soon begin a diplomatic campaign to reclaim the Kohinoor diamond and thousands of other treasures taken by Britain during their centuries-long colonial exploits in the Indian subcontinent. The diplomatic campaign is reportedly dubbed as "reckoning with the past" and is set to be the largest repatriation claim faced by the United Kingdom. "It is of huge importance to the government. The thrust of this effort to repatriate India's artifacts comes from the personal commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has made it a major priority," Govind Mohan, secretary for India's culture ministry, was quoted as saying by The Telegraph. Diplomats in London will make formal requests to institutions holding artifacts seized as spoils of war or collected by enthusiasts during the colonial rule. The process is due to begin this year, The Telegraph report added. The British Royal family has been in possession of the Kohinoor since 1849 CE, ever since a 10-year-old boy King, Maharaja Duleep Singh was forced to sign the Treaty of Lahore in 1849. Queen Victoria wore the Kohinoor as a brooch. ALSO READ | Opinion | Who does the Kohinoor belong to?
