As the first look of Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor from his upcoming movie `Shamshera` leaked online in the form of a poster, the film`s director, Karan Malhotra, has expressed happiness for the love it has received.

Ranbir, whose last release was `Sanju`, was set to kick start the Shamshera campaign next week. However, all those plans were dashed as the film`s first poster leaked earlier today and audiences showered praise on his rugged look as a ferocious dacoit in the badlands of India.

Reacting to this, Malhotra said, "We keep planning our lives so that we land things at the perfect time but in doing so we forget that the Universe is always on time. Incidents like these are a true example of that! I`m just happy that people and fans of Ranbir Kapoor are loving his look and the poster of Shamshera."

"We wanted to start our campaign mid-next week, but it looks like fans couldn`t wait for us to begin. I don`t blame them. They have waited for too long. Ranbir is returning to the cinemas after 4 years, and it is difficult to control the excitement. I`m just glad that the reactions are great," he added.

The story of `Shamshera` is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation celebrated its sixth Blue Diamond Gala on Thursday night with some of the major names in the world of Los Angeles sports stars and a headlining set from Jennifer Lopez. This has been the first time the annual event is held since the pandemic struck in 2019.

The event, dubbed `The Party for L.A.,` raised a record-breaking USD 3.6 million for LADF, which aims to improve education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all Angelenos and, since 1995, has invested more than USD 40 million in programs and grants to non-profits throughout the city, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

The gala also congratulated LADF`s Everyday Champions, whose work in the community has been hampered by the COVID19 pandemic but who have been able to step up and make a difference.

In a new radio show called `Table for One` that went on air for the first time on Thursday, Drake reportedly played some of his favourite numbers, including `295` and `G-Shit`- two songs by the late Punjabi rapper.

Drake`s gesture won many hearts.

Sidhu was shot dead in Punjab`s Mansa district on May 29 following which Drake took to social media to express his grief. In a post on his Instagram Stories, Drake had shared a picture of Sidhu Moose Wala with his mother and captioned it, "RIP MOOSE @sidhu_moosewala." In 2020, Drake started following Moose Wala on Instagram.

Sidhu Moose Wala was killed in a drive-by shooting in Jawaharke village of Punjab`s Mansa district last month. The incident took place a day after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab police among 424 others.

Meanwhile, Drake has announced his new album, titled Honestly, Nevermind. it is a follow-up to last year`s Certified Lover Boy. The new LP includes 14 songs.
