<p>According to California Fire's Twitter account, Jonnalagadda entered the water to rescue his son, and he was later airlifted by a California Highway Patrol helicopter to Stanford Hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away there.</p>

<p>According to a GoFundMe page organised for his family, Jonnalagadda had taken his family to the beach at their children's request.</p>

<p>The family had no intention of entering the water. While his family was enjoying the beach, his son ventured near the shore when tragedy struck.</p>

<p>A sudden large wave knocked his son down. This was followed by more waves that began dragging him into the ocean.</p>

<p>Upon realising his son's struggle, despite not knowing how to swim, Srinivasa courageously rushed into the water to rescue him and bring him to safety.</p>

<p>"Unexpectedly a large wave came and knocked his son down and subsequent large waves began to drag him into the ocean. Upon seeing and hearing this, Srinivasa suddenly realized that his son was struggling to get out of the water. Despite not knowing how to swim, he ran into the waters to help his son out to safety," the GoFundMe page said.</p>

<p>As per the page, Srinivasa was able to rescue the life of his drowning son with the help of a good Samaritan.</p>

<p>"Despite the unwavering dedication of the medical professionals involved, he tragically succumbed and was pronounced deceased at Stanford Hospital," the page added by requesting everyone to contribute to this campaign in order to make a very meaningful difference in the lives of this mourning household.&nbsp;</p>

<p>BSNL has been facing difficulties due to inadequate infrastructure and fierce competition from Jio, the wireless subsidiary of Reliance Industries. "The authorised capital of BSNL will be increased from Rs. 1,50,000 crore (1500 billion rupees) to Rs. 2,10,000 crore (2100 billion rupees)," the press release said, adding that with this revival package, BSNL will emerge as a stable telecom service provider focused on providing connectivity to remotest parts of India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This decision comes after BSNL entered into a partnership with Tata Consultancy Services, a leading software company, to assist in the deployment of a 4G network across the country.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a regulatory filing at the time, the company had said, "The consortium led by Tata Consultancy Services Limited has received an Advance Purchase Order valued over Rs 15,000 crore from BSNL, a 100% Govt. of India-owned Public Sector Undertaking, for the deployment of a 4G network across India."</p>

<h2><strong>First and second revival package&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The Indian government approved the first revival package for BSNL/MTNL in 2019. It amounted to Rs. 69,000 crores (690 billion rupees) and brought stability to BSNL/MTNL.</p>

<p>In 2022, Government approved a second revival package for BSNL/MTNL amounting to Rs. 1.64 Lakh Crore (1640 billion rupees). It provided financial support for capex, viability gap funding for rural landlines, financial support for de-stressing the balance sheet, settlement of Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues, the merger of BBNL with BSNL, etc.</p>

Lau had red tape symbolically placed across her mouth and held six white roses and four red roses before being taken into custody.</p>

In addition, the police apprehended a couple carrying white flowers, a dentist with materials bearing slogans related to the crackdown, and a woman with paper-made white flowers. In Chinese culture, white flowers are commonly used as funeral tributes.</p>

<p>This is not the first instance of contamination involving an eye drop manufactured in India. Earlier this year, the US was investigating the EzriCare Artificial Tears, an over-the-counter eye drop produced by Global Pharma Healthcare in Chennai, India. The investigation centred around a widespread outbreak of a highly resistant strain of bacteria that has been associated with different types of infections, including those affecting the eyes.</p>

<p>The US reported an outbreak of highly antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections linked to the Indian-manufactured eye drop. The outbreak reportedly resulted in 68 cases of infection across 16 states, causing three deaths, eight cases of vision loss, and four cases of eyeball removal.</p>

<p>The company voluntarily recalled the eye drops in February.</p>

<h2><strong>Indian-manufactured ophthalmic ointment&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>In another incident, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued an alert regarding an Indian-manufactured ophthalmic ointment in February, citing quality issues such as the presence of particles in various colours, sizes, and shapes of the nozzle, cap, and inside tubes.</p>

<p>The ointment is given as a treatment to infants and older children and is also indicated as a preventive measure for infants. As per WHO, the affected ointment is supplied in bulk and as a component of various medical kits supplied by some international organisations providing humanitarian assistance. At least 55 countries received the affected batches, as per the global health agency.&nbsp;</p>

Poland: On post-war democratic election anniversary, oppn holds protests against ruling PiS party

<p>Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman announced a further voluntary oil output cut of 1 million barrels per day for July, with the possibility of further extensions, as stated by the country's energy ministry on Sunday.</p>

<p>These new production cuts are in addition to the existing cuts of 2 million barrels per day (bpd) and voluntary cuts of 1.6 million bpd, which were surprisingly announced in April and took effect in May.</p>

<p>Following seven hours of negotiations, OPEC+ reached an agreement on output policy. The alliance has decided to implement additional production cuts, reducing the overall production targets by a combined 1.4 million barrels per day starting from 2024, as per Reuters.&nbsp;</p>
