<p>In accordance with this law, it is mandatory to form benches in constitutional matters of public importance and suo motu notices. The benches are to be formed by a committee of three senior judges from the court including chief justice, as per the Act.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The court also struck down the provision under the law which stated that the right of appeal would also extend retrospectively to those aggrieved persons against whom an order was made under Article 184(3) prior to the commencement of the Act.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But shortly after Justice Isa took over as Pakistan's new CJI, he reinitiated the hearing of the petitions with a full court.</p>

<p>"It really does feel like an alien floating across the seafloor - but when you step back and realise just how important these creatures are to ocean health and human health, we just felt the image brought it all together and we couldn't pass it up,"&nbsp;Moran reportedly said.&nbsp;</p>

After surveying approximately 1.8 billion stars and nearly completing their galactic map, scientists identified a significant gap in their data related to densely populated star regions in the sky. To address this shortfall, the team behind the Gaia space observatory decided to focus on globular clusters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Globular clusters are popularly known for their dense concentrations of hundreds of thousands of stars. They represent some of the oldest objects in the universe. So, the scientists conducted a reanalysis of previously collected data.</p>

<p>The study unveiled&nbsp;half a million new stars within the Omega Centauri cluster.</p>

<p>It also revealed the presence of cosmic objects so massive that they could bend light. This amazing phenomenon is called gravitational lensing.</p>

<p>By studying globular clusters, scientists gained insights into the structure of the Milky Way galaxy. They realised that the sun is not situated at the galaxy's centre.</p>

<p>Gaia's observations enabled the determination that the sun, along with Earth, resides in one of the galaxy's spiral arms, which is known as the Sagittarius arm. The sheer abundance of stars in globular clusters sometimes overwhelmed telescopes and complicated accurate readings.</p>

<p>Bright stars can overshadow their fainter counterparts, and some stars are positioned so closely together that they cannot be individually defined. However, Gaia has now provided a clearer and more detailed view of these clusters.</p>

<h2><strong>Why Omega Centauri?</strong></h2>

<p>Omega Centauri holds the distinction of being the largest known globular cluster in the Milky Way visible from Earth. It appears nearly as large as a full moon when observed from remote, dark areas and boasts a vast diameter of 150 light years.</p>

<p>Former Haitian Senator Joseph Joel John pleaded guilty on Tuesday to criminal charges in a U.S. court for his role in the 2021 assassination of the Caribbean country's last president Jovenel Moise.</p>

<p>John, one of 11 defendants, could face life in prison at a sentencing proceeding scheduled for Dec. 19 in federal court in Miami.</p>

<p>John pleaded guilty to providing material support to the plot to kill Moise, including rental vehicles used by the conspirators, introductions to gangs whose support they sought and attempts to procure weapons.</p>

<p>According to John's statement, he was present at meetings where Moise's assassination was discussed, including one the night before the killing was carried out.</p>

<p>The shooting of Moise in his bedroom two years ago left a political vacuum emboldening gangs to expand their territory, becoming de facto authorities across large parts of the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince, many carrying out killings, kidnappings and gang rapes.</p>

<p>A year ago, Haiti's unelected government called for urgent help from international forces to help restore order.</p>

<p>John was arrested in Jamaica and in May last year became the third man to be charged with involvement in Moise's murder.</p>

<p>An investigative judge in Haiti has called several high-profile politicians to appear for questioning, while the U.S. case investigates Colombian ex-soldiers, businessmen and dual Haitian-American citizens.</p>

<p>John was extradited to the United States from Jamaica, where he was arrested early last year.</p>

<p>He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to kill and kidnap a person outside the United States, proving material support to carry out a violation resulting in a death, and conspiracy to provide such support.</p>

<p>In a separate plea agreement, the court said John could face a life sentence and a fine of up to $250,000 for each of three counts.</p>

<p>His guilty plea follows that of retired Colombian army officer German Rivera last month and that of dual Haitian-Chilean citizen Rodolphe Jaar in March.</p>

<p>Rivera's sentencing is set for Oct. 27, while Jaar was given a life sentence.</p>

1. Human Spaceflight Mission to Low Earth Orbit

India's ambitious Gaganyaan project is set to launch to the International Space Station in 2024. Under the programme, a three-member crew will be launched for a three-day mission. The astronauts will be brought back to Earth by landing in Indian sea waters.

Before the actual manned launch of Gaganyaan takes place, there will be precursor missions. This is to ensure technology preparedness levels. It includes Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT), Pad Abort Test (PAT) and Test Vehicle (TV) flights.

The launch of the manned mission will be done aboard the LVM3 rocket. As per Indian space agency ISRO, the rocket is a "well-proven and reliable heavy lift launcher". The various stages of the launch include solid stage, liquid stage, and cryogenic stage.

The module will be orbiting Earth. It is to include the Crew Module (CM) and Service Module (SM). While CM is a livable area with an environment similar to Earth, SM will give the required backing to CM.

The Gaganyaan crew are receiving special training at a facility in south Indian city of Bengaluru. It comprises classroom training, physical fitness training, simulator training, and flight suit training. The modules also include periodical flying practice, aero-medical training, and Yoga.
