Running a big business in a competitive environment may get tricky sometimes as there is always a fear of losing revenue, customers or going bankrupt. The same seems to be happening with billionaire Elon Musk.

On Twitter, Musk said that SpaceX needs to come up with many next-generation Starship engines soon to keep growing its Starlink broadband constellation and eventually, stay in business.

With bonenkai or forget-the-year party season around the year, several people in Japan seem to avoiding the tradition of an evening of nomunication, which means drinking and communication, with colleagues, especially bosses.

With the number of coronavirus cases falling in the country after 18 months of the pandemic, there seems to be an opportune moment to party. The bars and restaurants in the country may also be fully open for business.

The time-honoured tradition of drinking and eating with colleagues seems to have found only a few takers.

Recently, online readers of the ‘Asahi Shimbun’ newspaper were asked to share thoughts over the bonenkai season on its eve. In the survey, which looked to understand the mood of the nation, found that many people didn’t like the idea of partying alongside colleagues, especially bosses.

A woman, who was falsely accused of shoplifting by Walmart, has been awarded $2.1 million in damages in Alabama, the United States.

She was also allegedly threatened by the American multinational retail corporation, a report said.

After the woman’s case against the retail company was dismissed, a Mobile County Court ruled for Lesleigh nurse on Monday.

The incident happened in 2016. At that time, the nurse was stopped while she was trying to exit Walmart with groceries after the self-checkout machine she used to pay froze, she said.

As per the lawsuit, the nurse had informed the employees that she had already paid, but they did not think she was telling the truth. At the end, the nurse was arrested for shoplifting.

In 2017, the case was dismissed. Nurse alleged that a law firm kept sending letters and threatened to sue if she did not pay a settlement fee of $200.

The $200 was the price of the groceries the nurse had taken, and she claimed Walmart had directed the law firm to send her the letters.

As per the lawsuit, "The defendants have engaged in a pattern and practice of falsely accusing innocent Alabama citizens of shoplifting and thereafter attempting to collect money from the innocently accused."

Napoleon Bonaparte’s dress sword, which he used while staging a coup in 1799, will be auctioned during the weekend with five other weapons belonging to him, announced US auctioneers.

With its scabbard, the sword is the "crown jewel" of the collection, said the auctioneers. They will also host the sale both in person and online.

The sword seems to have been made by Nicolas-Noel Boutet, the then director of the state arms factory in Versailles.

Even as the world is tensed over the emergence of a new Covid variant Omicron, a debate seems to have begun over its pronunciation.

The development comes as the BBC pronounced it as 'OM-mi-cron'. It gave heavy emphasis on the first syllable in pronouncing the Greek word. It is the 15th letter in the Greek alphabet.

On Sunday, a well-known historian and classicist Mary Beard criticised the corporation's choice of emphasis on Twitter.

Beard said, “I am NOT a technical ancient linguist. But I do find it a bit odd that the BBC News is saying omicron with the stress on the first syllable."

In a bizarre incident, a man in the US, who was holding a big knife to his neck, was tased by a police officer in Glendale, Arizona. It caused him to fall on the ground and accidently stab himself in the neck, a police body cam footage obtained by Fox News showed.

The police officer seems to have been forced to use the taser gun as the man was not putting down the knife even after being asked to do it repeatedly.

The incident occurred last week when officers were called to the scene of a "suspicious" fire, said the police.

After the arrival, the cops found an individual, who was "acting odd." The cops seem to have determined that the man was somehow associated with the fire incident, and an officer began talking to him to keep him calm.

According to the body cam footage, the officer tried to keep the man away from the fire trucks so "they can do their job." But suddenly, the man pulled out a large kitchen knife. The officer can also be seen asking the man to drop it but the man did not appear to follow his instructions.

The officer then can be seen using a taser gun on him to restrict him and the man with the knife fell on the ground, accidently stabbing his neck.

The man was not allowing paramedics to treat him for his injuries, the police said. Finally, he was treated and sent to a local hospital. No one received life-threatening injuries, the police said.
