"The BCCI also tried their best to make us feel comfortable .. It's a difficult time. There's a pandemic going on, so we try to adapt but sometimes bubble fatigue, mental fatigue also creeps in."

While India have been on the road since last year's tour of Australia, and have moved from one bio-bubble to another, Little Master Sunil Gavaskar isn't impressed with Bumrah's statements.

He told on Sports Today, "Well look, when you are playing for India, everything has got to recede to the background. It's as simple as that. It's an unbelievable privilege and a huge honor to be playing for and representing your country. There are millions who you know, want to get the India cap, the India colors...

“Nobody should be saying that this [bubble fatigue] is there. There should be no real excuse. You should go out there and give it your best. It's as simple as that. And that's all the Indian fans are expecting. We all know that you can't win every game. This is a sport, you are going to lose. Even the greatest of players in individual sports, even the greatest of teams lose. And this is a great team, make no mistake. The way they have played over the years, it's a top team, this Indian team is a top champion team.

“But it's only in the multi-country tournaments where they have not found their feet. So I think that's something they need to do and not talk about anything else," the original Little Master explained.

Both Vandana and Monika were part of the Indian Women`s Hockey team at the Rio Olympics 2016 as well as the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 where the Indian women won a billion hearts with their historic fourth place finish.

Historic moment to see PR Sreejesh, Manpreet Singh being chosen for Khel Ratna, says Hockey India President

Spurs had topped the Premier League standings in August under Nuno after winning their opening three games but are now ninth, 10 points behind leaders Chelsea after 10 matches and five points off the Champions League qualifying places.

Conte's first game in charge will be Thursday's Conference League group stage match at home to Vitesse Arnhem.

'RIGHT TIME'

Conte was linked with the Tottenham job in the close season when the club sought a permanent replacement following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho, but the Italian said it was too soon to take up a new role after leaving Inter.

"Last summer our union did not happen because the end of my relationship with Inter was still too recent and emotionally too involved with the end of the season, so I felt that it wasn’t yet the right time to return to coaching," Conte added.

"But the contagious enthusiasm and determination of (Tottenham chairman) Daniel Levy in wanting to entrust me with this task had already hit the mark. Now that the opportunity has returned, I have chosen to take it with great conviction."

A former Italy coach, Conte will be tasked with reviving the fortunes of Spurs, who were Champions League finalists in 2019 but are now struggling in the third-tier Europa Conference League.

They sit third in their group, three points behind French side Rennes and two off Dutch team Vitesse, with win from three games.

ICC T20I Rankings: Babar Azam overtakes Dawid Malan to become top-ranked batter

Team India will face Mohammad Nabi-led Afghanistan in their third encounter of the Super 12 round in the T20 World Cup 2021 edition, being held in the UAE. The Men in Blue will have to raise their game in order to keep themselves alive in the competition as another defeat will surely end their campaign in the marquee tournament.

The Virat Kohli-led side have been a pale shadow of themselves with back-to-back defeats in their two encounters so far. Kohli &amp; Co. went down to their arch-rivals Pakistan by ten wickets in their tournament-opener whereas Kane Williamson-led New Zealand thrashed the one-time winners by eight wickets in their following match. "A lot of the credit goes to the players who are working so hard and that is the platform that they have used to achieve what they are right now. But I think Saqlain Mushtaq also deserves a lot of praise for the work he is doing.

"Matthew Hayden and Vernon Philander have of course been a big influence and Ramiz Raja has given extra responsibility to Babar Azam as captain. When the captain has that responsibility, they feel confident making decisions. It is the same for the players."

Mir feels the players are playing with freedom which has also led to the good show.

"There are of course more factors in their success, but there is a freedom in this team for the players to express themselves. The environment is great for the players to succeed."

Having chased in their first three matches, skipper Babar opted to bat first in the 45-run win over Namibia on Tuesday.

"I was pleased to see Pakistan decide to bat first against Namibia to give themselves a bigger challenge.

"Regardless of the opposition, it is not easy to bat in those conditions, but they did very well and now they are in a great position to top the group and avoid England, who are playing some great cricket, in the semi-final."
