ICC Test Rankings: Australia take No. 1 spot post Ashes success, India drop to 3rd position

Steven Bergwijn scored two goals deep into stoppage time to snatch Tottenham a dramatic 3-2 victory at Leicester in the Premier League's latest-ever comeback win.

The Netherlands forward looked to have earned a draw for Spurs by driving home from close range in the fifth minute of added-on time on Wednesday, yet there was more drama to come.

Soon after the restart, Leicester lost possession, Harry Kane played a perfectly weighted ball behind the Leicester defense and Bergwijn ran onto it, rounded goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and converted his shot off the post from an acute angle in the seventh extra minute.

U-19 World Cup: COVID-hit India thrash Ireland to reach Super League quarterfinals

India and South Africa played out the first ODI, at Boland Park, Paarl, on Wednesday (January 19) after the three-match Test series ended in the African nation. KL Rahul-led India lost the series opener convincingly, by 31 runs, as Temba Bavuma's Proteas have gone 1-0 up in the series.

While winning the toss, SA opted to bat first, they weren't off to a great start and were reduced to 68 for 3. Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen's match-winning 204-run fourth-wicket stand propelled the hosts to 296-4 as Rahul &amp; Co. were restricted foe 265-8 in response.&nbsp;

During centurions Bavuma (110) and Rassie's (129 not out) partnership, the former wasn't pleased with former Indian captain Virat Kohli's efforts on the field as the duo had a fiery exchange. In the 36th over, bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal, Bavuma played a shot towards short covers. Kohli was stationed at that position, who collected the ball and unleashed a powerful throw at the keeper's end. While there was hardly any chance of a run-out, Bavuma felt the throw could've hit him hard. Hence, he made his displeasure known and uttered some words towards Kohli.

To this, the 33-year-old Kohli also didn't remain mum and gave it back to Bavuma. Nonetheless, it didn't escalate any further. Here's the video of the entire episode:

At the post-match press conference, the South African captain Bavuma labelled his side's performance as a 'perfect game'.

"We played close to a perfect game, that's quite hard in 50-over cricket. We can take a lot of confidence. I struggled throughout the innings, Rassie seemed like batting on another wicket. That partnership was the decider. I tried to partner him as much as I could. Another good debut for him (Jansen), we feel he can take wickets with the new ball. He's growing from strength to strength and it's nice to see,"&nbsp;he opined.

Star India opener Smriti Mandhana was on Wednesday named in the ICC T20 women's Team of the Year for her superlative show in the format in 2021 but no Indian made the men's side.

The stylish Southpaw, who is the Indian team's vice-captain in the format, was the country's highest scorer in the format in 2021 with 255 runs at an average of 31.87.

The 25-year-old scored two fifties in the nine matches she played and got her team off to rapid starts regularly, as evident up by her strike-rate of 131.44.

While Mandhana was the only Indian, several members of the English side feature in the team with Nat Scriver being named captain. The experienced England all-rounder produced many impactful performances throughout the year. Batting in the middle-order, Sciver scored a total of 153 runs, including one fifty, and she also picked up 10 wickets at an excellent average of 20.20.

Accompanying Mandhana at the top is England's Tammy Beaumont. The 30-year-old's reliable presence at the top of the order helped England off to steady starts regularly. She played nine matches and amassed 303 runs at an average of 33.66, including three fifties.

Danni Wyatt, wicketkeeper Amy Jones and spinner Sophie Ecclestone are the other English players in the side. 
Gaby Lewis of Ireland, South African trio of Laura Wolvaardt, Shabnim Ismail and Marizanne Kapp and Zimbabwe's Loryn Phiri make up the rest of the playing XI.
