Rashid, the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics gold medallist, while categorically denying the allegations of using offensive language, is considering the option to challenge the ban in the court of law. A PHF inquiry committee was constituted to see if Rashid had used abusive language against Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is also the PHF patron-in-chief. 
 
The instructions in this regard were issued by PHF President Brig (Retd) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar and Secretary Asif Bajwa, said a press release issued on Thursday, the report said. After Rashid did not respond to two notices issued to him on the matter, the committee on PHF President`s instructions imposed the 10-year ban. A copy of the notification has also been sent to the National Assembly`s standing committee on sports.

"NZC has made changes to the dates of the KFC India Tour of NZ between the WHITE FERNS and India Women, to be played exclusively at John Davies Oval in Queenstown. The date of the first KFC T20I remains the same but there has been some adjustments made to the subsequent five-match KFC ODI series," read a statement from NZC. 
 
The change in date of first ODI also means that there is a change in the second and third ODI dates. The second ODI, originally scheduled for February 14, will now happen on February 15, while the third ODI will be played on February 18 instead of February 16. The dates of final two ODI matches for February 22 and 24 have been retained.

But NZC moved the whole series to Queenstown last month in order to reduce the risk of COVID-19. 
 
The Indian team, led by Mithali Raj, had left for New Zealand from Mumbai on January 24 and are currently in Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) in Christchurch. After the series ends, India and New Zealand will move towards the ICC Women`s Cricket World Cup scheduled to run from March 4 to April 3.

It was a very emotional moment for me, and my aunt, who has always been by my side since childhood, helped a great deal. But I did feel that it was the right time for me to retire. I've played at the top level for many years now, and it`s not always easy to carry on," said Kamala Devi as per an AIFF release."My biggest critic was probably my father (laughs), but in a good way. He wanted me to do well in life, and he did not know much about the avenues one could create through football. That`s why when I was a kid, he would always tell me to stop playing so much and concentrate on studying. I guess, after a while, he also realised it was useless to keep me away from the game, but when he did see that I was getting to places through football, he did start supporting me," she added.
