<p>A group of neo-Nazi men have been photographed performing the abhorrent Hitler salute as they celebrated the dictator's birthday at a family pub in Melbourne, Australia.&nbsp;</p>

One participant held a portrait of Hitler while two others held 'H' letter-shaped balloons, allegedly referring to the phrase 'Heil Hitler' which is often recited practicing the salute.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Neo-Nazi leader Thomas Sewell who also heads the National Socialist Network was an attendee at the event. He took to his Telegram account and said it was a 'great and eventful' night celebrating Hitler's 134th birthday as the group enjoyed German food and beer.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Despite not breaking any laws and not disturbing a soul, we were set upon by a dozen scum from Victoria Police who were terribly upset we were celebrating this holy day instead of the government approved gay or paedophile holidays,” read the Telegram post.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sewell claimed that the likes of his neo-Nazi friends were being persecuted by civil society and that Hitler's truth would soon be out.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Being confronted by systemic violence while our families and babies were present we were forced to eat our Hitler cake while being escorted from the shopping centre under threat of political violence," he wrote.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“They persecute us because they know we are rising and the world will learn the truth about Hitler and look to us for leadership.”</p>

<p>After the images went viral, Dr Dvir Abramovich, chair of the Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC) released a statement condemning the act and called it a 'sad and dark day for Australia's democracy'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Something is very wrong in Victoria, and we should be all alarmed by this brazen and stomach-churning outrage that will forever be a stain on our state," Abramovich was quoted as saying by Dail Mail Australia.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“This beyond despicable display of Hitler worshipping and depravity belongs in Nazi Germany of the 1930s, not in a local restaurant where parents and children gather.”</p>

<p>An American Airlines Boeing 737 was forced to make an emergency landing after its engine caught fire, having hit a flock of geese. The accident transpired 25 minutes after the plane took off in Ohio on Sunday early morning.&nbsp;</p>

However, around 8 am, when the plane was hovering over the Upper Arlington area, the pilots accessed something was wrong with the engine&nbsp;and the passenger jet was forced to turn back and head to the airport.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The survey was conducted by American firm&nbsp;ResumeBuilder with 1344 people as the sample size. It asked people in managerial positions across different US states about their experience of working with those born in 1997 or later.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Surprisingly, nearly half (49 per cent) of the respondents stated it was difficult to work with Gen Z "all or most of the time". Meanwhile, a whopping 79 per cent dubbed them as the most difficult generation to have in the workplace.&nbsp;</p>

<p>59 per cent of respondents added that they have had to sack a Gen Z employee with 20 per cent of the employers firing them within a week of their start date.</p>

<p>After coming to power, Obrador made the selling of the jet a centrepiece of his austerity programme. However, for over three years, nobody came forward to buy it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Obrador's desperation could be gauged from the brochure he had drawn up to pitch the jet to prospective clients.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“You, you biggest producers, your elite sales team, your most prized associates can now enjoy a reserved flight experience until now only available to heads of state,” the brochure read, adding the plane has “incomparable VIP capacity”.</p>

<p>And indeed the jet had 'incomparable' facilities. Used by Obrador's predecessor Enrique Peña Nieto, the Dreamliner is customised with an executive bedroom, private bath and seating for 80 people. However, it was originally purchased for $218 million during former president Felipe Calderon's 2006-2012 term in office.</p>

<p>"A contingent under the command of SCPC and SCCIO Malindi visited the scene for fact-finding. The team was able to reach few households and managed to rescue fifteen people among them six who were emaciated," read the police report.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We found them in a very bad state, others fainted on the way to hospital," a security officer told Kenya's Nation Media Group.</p>

<p>Subsequently, Nthenge was arrested again, having been left out on bail of $700 last month after&nbsp;two children were starved to death by the parents, based on his advice.&nbsp;</p>

During the flight, one of her kids wanted to urgently use the loo.&nbsp;Seeing that most passengers were using the washroom in front of the plane which was near her seat, Giraldo took her little son there but was soon stopped in the tracks by the flight attendant.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Giraldo, a former TV host said she lost count of time inside the toilet and upon being released, could feel herself 'shaking'. However, a supervisor soon came onto the scene and started scolding her, alleging that the pilot was forced to put the plane under a 'terrorist attack' warning because of her.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I immediately knew it was racism. I immediately knew I was being discriminated against," she added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Giraldo believes she was racially targetted because the flight attendants had heard her talking in Farsi to her toddlers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Moghaddam became aware of the drama after the police came to escort his family off the plane in New York.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I dedicated about a decade of my life to public service, to protecting the community. <p>Dupree Glass and Juan Rayford, two US men wronged by the judicial system have been finally given their due. Having served nearly 17 years in prison after being wrongly convicted of attempted murder, the two men were declared innocent by a California judge earlier this week.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Under a new state law, the two men are to receive $140 for every day they spent behind bars, or about $900,000. The state Victims Compensation Board is likely to approve the new compensation while the attorneys of the victims plan on suing the state, county and district attorney's office for wrongful prosecution.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I thought about this day for so long. I thought about it when I was locked up for 17 years. I thought about it for my last two years being free. I waited for this day because, you know, I knew I was innocent of every crime they said I committed,” Rayford said after the ruling.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I’m not big for words. But today is a wonderful day. For 20 years we’ve been living this nightmare. It’s finally over. We can go on with our lives,” added Glass.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Glass and Rayford were 17 and 18 respectively when they were arrested after an altercation turned into a shooting involving a group of teenagers in Lancaster, north of Los Angeles. In the kerfuffle, two people were struck by bullets but did not suffer life-threatening injuries, according to court filings.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, both were arrested and convicted of 11 counts of attempted murder and sentenced to a harsh punishment of 11 consecutive life sentences.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The two men were convicted, primarily on the testimony of just two witnesses who later recanted their stories. From the beginning, Glass and Rayford maintained their innocence and said they were not involved in the shooting in any capacity.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Innocence Rights project at the University of California, Irvine School of Law picked their case and managed to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that the two were not responsible for the shooting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Notably, this is not the first time that individuals have been dealt the wrong card by the US judicial system. Last year, 69-year-old Maurice Hastings was released from a California prison having spent 38 years for a 1983 murder and two attempted murders, which, he, in fact, never committed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The intent and the purpose of this meeting was never to discuss recognition of the Taliban, and any discussion at this meeting about recognition would be unacceptable to us,” said Patel.&nbsp;</p>

<p>His statement was echoed by Senator Jim Risch, a member of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee who also slammed the UN for even thinking about such a proposal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The UN needs a wake-up call. Any talk of recognition of the Taliban is absolutely absurd. This murderous regime continues to deny women the ability to work or go to school while millions of Afghans are in dire humanitarian need," he tweeted.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>UN says it is ready to take baby steps</strong></h2>

<p>The statements by the White House and the lawmakers comes in the backdrop of UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed stating that the UN was ready to take baby steps towards recognising the Taliban.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“We’ll gather them now in another two weeks in the region, (at a) meeting of envoys across the board - the region and internationally - with the secretary-general for the first time,” said Amina, adding, “And out of that, we hope that we will find those baby steps to put us back on the pathway to recognition.”</p>

<p>When quizzed if the Taliban was seeking recognition, Mohammed replied in the affirmative, “Yes. The Taliban clearly want recognition. And that’s the leverage we have."</p>

In December last year, the Taliban authorities sent a letter to all public and private colleges announcing the indefinite ban on Afghan girls attending educational institutions.</p>

<p>Two people died while 10 were injured after a restaurant caught fire in Spain Friday night. The fire was sparked when one of the waiters flambeed a dish and accidentally set the walls and ceiling ablaze which quickly transformed into a mega-fire.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The freak incident took place at the Burro Canaglia Bar and Resto, an Italian restaurant, located on the western side of the capital city of Madrid. As soon as the incident was reported, Madrid's SAMUR emergency services were pressed into action.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Montse Marcos, a manager at the organisation informed that two men, aged between 25 and 30 died in the blaze. Meanwhile, the 10 injured are currently being treated in different hospitals.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“A fire in a restaurant in Manuel Becerra Square has resulted in the deaths of two people. Six people hurt have been taken to different hospitals in serious condition. Four other people suffered minor injuries,” said a spokesperson from the Emergency services.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Twelve firefighter crews have put out the fire that spread quickly across the restaurant ceiling. They also rescued several people, clients and employees."</p>

<p>“People came running to the fire station which is only about 400 metres from the restaurant. Our response was very quick because half of us responded by running to the scene on foot and the other half in vehicles,” said Marin.</p>

<p>“People were trapped inside when we arrived and after extinguishing the flames, we performed 12 rescues. They were trapped because the flames were preventing them from reaching the exit,” he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Spanish media reports, one of the deceased was the waiter while the other was one of the patrons of the restaurant.&nbsp;</p>
