<p>The demand for an international probe into Navalny’s death by 43 countries was led by the European Union (EU) during the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The EU official also said that the Kremlin critic’s “unexpected and shocking death is yet another sign of the accelerating and systematic repression in Russia.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>Furthermore, the countries called for an immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners, human rights activists, journalists, and those who have been jailed for speaking out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Russia’s political leadership and authorities must be held to account,” said Knudsen.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Russia’s Investigative Committee says it has launched a procedural investigation into the death and the Kremlin has said it does not bow to EU demands.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Navalny, 47, who was Putin’s fiercest critic inside Russia, died last month in an Arctic penal colony where he was serving a lengthy prison sentence. The circumstances surrounding the Russian opposition leader’s death sparked outrage across the world and within Russia.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As reported by CNN, a volcanologist Thorvaldur Thordarson told RÚV that the depth of the magma, around four kilometers suggests that an eruption could take place within hours.&nbsp;</p>

The spa has had a number of closures in recent months as a wave of seismic activity continues to hit the country. The broadcaster said that Magma has begun flowing after "intense seismic activity" in the area around the lagoon. As reported by CNN, a volcanologist Thorvaldur Thordarson told RÚV that the depth of the magma, around four kilometers suggests that an eruption could take place within hours. Blue Lagoon said on Saturday in its statement on its website that it had initiated an evacuation of its premises due to "increased seismic activity in a known area, a few kilometers away". It further added that the operations would be closed at least until the end of Sunday, when the situation would be reassessed. The statement added, "We will continue to closely follow the guidelines and recommendations of the authorities, working collaboratively with them to monitor the progression of events." "As a result all our operations will remain closed for the remaining of today, Saturday, March 2, and tomorrow, Sunday, March 3, at which time the situation will be reassessed," it added. <p>The news agency AFP reported that Teixeira, who was a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, has agreed to plead guilty to all six counts of willful retention and dissemination of national defence information.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 22-year-old Teixeira pleaded guilty under a deal in which he accepted a roughly 16-year imprisonment in return for prosecutors dropping more serious espionage charges.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The deal states that he will be sentenced to up to 16 years and eight months in prison, pay a $50,000 fine, and assist intelligence agents in determining the scope and impact of his revelations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He was arrested in April for allegedly orchestrating the most damaging leak of US classified documents in a decade, some of which concerned the war in Ukraine.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He faces no espionage charges under the Espionage Act, otherwise he could have been imprisoned for life.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the hearing, he was asked by the presiding judge if he had any issues with the evidence, and Teixeira responded no. He was again asked if he knew the materials were classified, and he said, "Yes, your honour."&nbsp;</p>
