In Zanzibar, nearly half the population once lived without electricity. Now, a group of women — known as the Solar Mamas — are changing that. Trained at Barefoot College International, they’re installing solar panels across rural Tanzania, replacing dangerous kerosene lamps with clean, renewable energy. Their work is lighting homes, empowering women, and transforming communities.
