Tamil Nadu’s political drama has intensified after Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) failed to cross the majority mark despite emerging as the single largest party. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has reportedly rejected TVK’s government formation claim twice, asking the party to provide proof of support and explain how it plans to secure a majority on the Assembly floor. With Congress backing TVK and smaller parties still undecided, the state now faces intense negotiations, resort politics, and the possibility of a legal battle in the Madras High Court.
