The U.S. Secret Service shot and killed a man early Sunday after he attempted to breach the secure perimeter of former President Donald Trump’s Mar‑a‑Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The intruder, in his early 20s and armed with what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can, was confronted by Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy before being fatally shot. Trump and the first lady were in Washington at the time, and authorities are investigating the motive.
