A swarm of over 100 earthquakes has been recorded near the Tonopah Test Range in Nevada, USA, a highly restricted military installation historically associated with weapons testing and defence research. Scientists say the string of small to moderate tremors mostly between magnitudes ~1.5 and ~3.0, with some stronger events began in late February and continued through early March within roughly 80 km of the range.
