Tensions are rising in Iraq’s Kurdistan region amid the broader conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel. The region has seen growing security concerns as the war continues to spill across multiple fronts in the Middle East.
US President Donald Trump said he would be “all for” an uprising by Iranian Kurdish separatists. The remarks come as Kurdish regions along the Iran–Iraq border remain sensitive flashpoints during the ongoing escalation.
Kurdish militant and separatist movements have long operated in border areas between Iran and Iraq, with tensions periodically rising between Tehran and Kurdish groups in the region.
