US: Conceptual discussions to take place, 11 trade areas to be discussed
Under a new joint initiative announced in June, Taiwan and the United States will hold in-person talks on trade next week. In New York, the program is vehemently being opposed by China which views the self-governed island nation of Taiwan as a part of its own territory.
