In a major political setback for Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT), six MPs have crossed over to Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena faction. Welcoming the leaders, Shinde said they had joined the party that truly follows Balasaheb Thackeray's ideology. Drawing parallels with the 2022 rebellion that saw 40 MLAs back him, Shinde called this move the "second phase" of that political shift and described it as a "sixer" for his camp. Is Maharashtra politics heading for another big realignment?
