Retired Iraqi teacher brings schooling to a street in Kirkuk
With plastic chairs lined up in a Kirkuk street and whiteboards fixed to the wall of the building opposite, retired Iraqi teacher Khamis Ali is ready to start his class.Since the 70-year-old started his initiative a few weeks ago, dozens of boys and girls have been gathering at this spot regularly to attend his free classes. He sets up the open-air classroom in the street opposite to his house.
