With Pakistan's $3 billion bailout programme about to expire in April, new prime minister Shehbaz Sharif directed officials to expedite talks with the International Monetary Fund. The decision was made by Sharif following a briefing by Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah Bosal following his oath of office as leader of Pakistan on Monday.
