Due to the spread of COVID-19 Iran commemorated Ashura with social distancing measures. Pilgrims on Iraq mourned with masks & gloves. The month of Muharram marks a period of intense grief as a mark of mourning the death of Hazrat Imam Hussain, also known to many as the grandson of Prophet Muhammad.
