London: 25-km-long super sewer built to end Thames pollution problem

To address the issue, some 40 million tonnes of raw sewage are dumped into London's River Thames each year. The new 25-kilometer-long "super sewer" that London's municipal agency built along the river is made of concrete and is projected to stop 95% of spills when it is completely operational in 2025 and offer a healthy environment for nearby wildlife.
