Argentine President Javier Milei has announced tough new measures aimed at blocking unauthorised offshore oil exploration around the Falkland Islands, known as the Malvinas in Argentina. Milei said further resource extraction in the disputed territory would constitute a direct threat to Argentina’s national security.
