Japan introduces new aid scheme; Tokyo selects four countries for new programme

In a bid to embrace a more proactive defence strategy to address the growing regional threats, Japan will begin offering aid to militaries of like-minded countries. Tokyo, on Wednesday, announced that it would provide financial support to help nations strengthen their defences.
