Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Beirut is ‘playing with fire’, amid rising tensions between Israel and Lebanon. Defence Minister Benny Katz added that Israel may “take territory” in Lebanon if hostilities continue. The warnings come amid ongoing military strikes in Beirut targeting Hezbollah positions, causing chaos in the city. Israel’s leaders emphasized their readiness to escalate military operations if Lebanese territory continues to be used against Israel.
