Israel’s military says Iran and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah carried out coordinated strikes against Israel in a major escalation of the conflict. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the attacks involved missiles, rockets and drones launched from multiple fronts.
Israeli officials say Hezbollah fired large barrages of rockets into northern Israel while Iran launched additional missiles as part of what Israeli media described as an “integrated operation.”
The attacks triggered air raid sirens across parts of Israel, with the country’s air defence systems intercepting many incoming projectiles. Israel has responded with strikes on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon as tensions continue to escalate across the region.
