A baby in Florida is being described as “born twice” after doctors carried out a rare and highly complex medical procedure involving partial delivery during childbirth. The infant was diagnosed with congenital high airway obstruction syndrome, a dangerous condition that can block a baby’s airway before birth. During the operation, surgeons partially delivered the baby while still connected to the placenta, allowing them precious time to secure the airway and stabilise the child before completing the delivery. The extraordinary case has drawn attention for both its medical precision and emotional impact.
