Egyptians face economic strain amid soaring fuel prices
Egypt has increased fuel prices across the board. Petrol prices have gone up by as much as 15 percent, with diesel, a staple fuel, seeing the biggest jump. This comes just days before the international monetary fund reviews Egypt’s 8 billion dollar loan programme. The government has committed to cutting fuel subsidies as part of the deal.
