Author, Journalist Tatiana Schlossberg Dies at 35 After Leukemia Battle
Tatiana Schlossberg, a journalist and the granddaughter of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, has died at the age of 35 after battling a rare form of acute myeloid leukemia. Her death was confirmed by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. In a widely read New Yorker essay published in November, Schlossberg revealed her diagnosis, which came in May 2024 shortly after the birth of her second child. She described discovering the illness through routine medical testing and reflected on living with a rare mutation of the disease. Schlossberg was known for her thoughtful writing and public engagement on environmental and social issues.
