Argentine President Milei warns economic shock unavoidable in maiden speech

Javier Milei took office on sunday. In his maiden speech, Milei warned that the country was facing its worst economic crisis in decades. He said a swift and painful fiscal shock was the only way to address the rapidly rising inflation rate. Inflation in the south american country is expected to reach 200% soon.
