57 bodies wash ashore after boats sink off Libya coast
A coast guard official and an aid worker have reported that at least 57 bodies have washed ashore after two boats capsized in the Mediterranean Sea off various cities in western Libya. On one of the boats that departed for Europe at around 2am local time (00:00 GMT) on Tuesday, a survivor estimated that there were about 80 people.
