<p>The world’s largest iceberg also known as A23a, formerly a part of Antarctica,&nbsp;is currently in the midst of floating away from the continent, and has been in the news for the past couple of months</p>

<p>This time around photographers aboard a vessel run by the company EYOS Expeditions, on Sunday (Jan 14) managed to capture the iceberg’s erosion which has led to the sculpting of dramatic features including massive arches and caves.</p>

<h2><strong>‘Constant state of erosion’</strong></h2>

<p>“We saw waves, a good 3m or 4m high, smashing into the berg,” expedition leader Ian Strachan told BBC.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He added, “These were creating cascades of ice – a constant state of erosion.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>The images also show deep surface cracks and hollowed-out caves as the world’s largest iceberg is slowly eroding due to the milder air and warmer ocean temperatures as it moves away from the White Continent.&nbsp;</p>

A23a: Images show massive arches and caves in world’s largest iceberg as it erodes

<p>A flight attendant claimed to have spotted a bright pink-coloured unidentified flying object (UFO) when it apparently passed the aircraft with great speed while flying over Europe. Her&nbsp;family and friends think it is "definitely aliens".&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Wizz Air flight attendant told SWNS: "I've been a flight attendant for a year and have never seen anything like this."&nbsp;</p>

<p>She shot a video which shows four bizarre-shaped pink orbs. They are clearly visible in the video in the dark nighttime sky.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The video was filmed on the flight from Luton, England to Syzmany, Poland. The attendant&nbsp;initially didn't notice the pink orbs&nbsp;after filming&nbsp;it, as she thought the&nbsp;video was just a&nbsp;stunning view outside the&nbsp;plane, and put her phone away.</p>

<p>"Everyone was confused — they hadn't seen anything while flying and there had been no turbulence," she added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"It was a weird shape, like a circle flashing pink. At first, we thought maybe it was a reflection of our pink uniform, but on the video, you can see the motion — you can see it's flying," Tanase further said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An estimated 40,000 dogs in the province were required to undergo a DNA test at a veterinary clinic by the end of December 2023 before the initiative was introduced in January.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any owner who refuses the DNA profiling for their dog, which will be made compulsory by the end of March will be fined between 292 to 1,048 euros ($318 to $1179).&nbsp;</p>

<p>The provincial government covering Bolzano city and surrounding towns is creating the database, said veterinary department director Paolo Zambotto.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Around 10,000 have already been registered. “Bolzano receives a few hundred complaints a year from citizens about improper management of public land. More than half are for dogs,” Zambotto told Reuters.</p>

<p>He added, “Law enforcement could only catch three or four of them because they have to go there and set up some kind of stakeout.”</p>

The incident happened on flight SG-268, which took off from Mumbai airport at 2 am on Tuesday (Jan 16), after an hours-long delay. It was supposed to have taken off at 10.55 pm on Monday (Jan 15).</p>

<p>An air hostess reportedly wrote a note and slipped it under the crack of the toilet door.</p>

<p>It read, "Sir, we tried our best to open the door, however, we could not. Do not panic. We are landing in a few minutes, so please close the commode lid and sit on it and secure yourself. As soon as the main door is open, an engineer will come."</p>

<p>An airport official in Bengaluru reportedly said, "The poor man flew from Mumbai to Bengaluru inside the toilet and, shockingly, landed trapped inside the tiny lavatory."&nbsp;</p>

<p>The plane landed at KIA at 3:42 am on Tuesday (Jan 16).</p>

After that, the man was given first aid, a media outlet said quoting an officer. "The passenger was totally traumatised due to claustrophobia."&nbsp;</p>

<p>SpiceJet later issued a statement, "On January 16, a passenger unfortunately got stuck inside the lavatory for about an hour on SpiceJet flight operating from Mumbai to Bengaluru, while the aircraft was airborne due to a malfunction in the door lock. Throughout the journey, our crew provided assistance and guidance to the passenger."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Passengers on a domestic AirAsia flight from the Thai capital city Bangkok to Phuket were left shocked and angered after they discovered a snake slithering along the plane’s overhead bin. The video of the incident has since garnered millions of views on TikTok.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Upon the discovery of the reptile, passengers seated near the bin were seen standing and scrambling away from their seats while others began recording a video of the shocking incident which took place on January 13.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The clip posted on social media shows a tiny snake slithering near the cabin lights above the overhead compartment on an AirAsia Airbus A320. Subsequently, a surprisingly calm member of the cabin crew was seen trying to capture the reptile in an empty plastic bottle.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the snake was later swept into an empty garbage bag using a plastic bottle. According to reports, the reptile was stored away in a cupboard for the rest of the flight.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Not the first time</strong></h2>

<p>As shocking as this incident is, it is not the first time a snake has hitched a ride on an AirAsia plane. In February 2022, a plane travelling from the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to Sabah had to be rerouted after a python was found slithering through the plane’s light fixtures.</p>

<p>In a statement sent to CNN, AirAsia Thailand said it was aware of an incident on Saturday (Jan 13) but stressed that it was still “a very rare incident.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Flight attendants were notified before landing in Phuket after a passenger noticed a small snake in the overhead luggage compartment,” said Phol Poompuang, head of corporate safety of AirAsia Thailand.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He added, “AirAsia crew were well trained to handle an occurrence of this nature and relocated passengers from the area as a precautionary measure.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to hospital records, the child was given the maximum recommended doses of paracetamol there was "no plausible reason for codeine being present in their system".</p>
