On Sunday, 5th March 2023, the WPL will have its first double-header day where Royal Challengers Bangalore will square off against Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne Stadium, CCI. UP Warriorz will play their first game of the league against Gujarat Giants at the DY Patil Stadium in the evening.</p>

<p>There will be four double headers with the first match starting at 3:30 PM IST. All evening matches will start at 7:30 PM IST. A total of 11 matches each will be held at the DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Speaking with the RCB channel just after getting picked, Sania said she was rather surprised with this proposal, but is excited at the same time to work on this new aspect following her retirement as a professional Tennis player.</p>

<p>"I was a little surprised [at being offered a mentorship role], but I was really excited," Mirza told RCB TV. "I want to make young girls believe sport can be one of the first career choices for them. I want to help the next generation into believing in themselves no matter how much the odds are against you, you can achieve your goals."</p>

<p>The Tennis legend added saying she would help bring the mental steadiness and the belief, both of which are utterly important to succeed at any level. Mirza also said she would work with players on how to deal with high pressure.</p>

<p>"The mental aspect of it is something I look forward to working with the younger girls," she said. "I feel I can [help] bring in the mental steadiness, the mental belief, I can talk of the experiences I've had over 20 years of playing. The former English domestic cricketer has also been at the helm with the Melbourne Stars in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) and also with Surrey women's side.</p>

On the other hand, Keightley currently is the head coach of WBBL's Sydney Thunder side and has also coached Perth Scorchers as well. She has had a decade-long international career in which she played 82 ODIs, nine Tests and one T20I.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Women’s Premier League player auction date announced</strong></p>

<p>The BCCI on late Sunday night announced the date of the Women’s Premier League player auction which will now take place on Monday, February 13th in Mumbai. A maximum of 90 players will be sold in the day-long auction and each team will be allotted a purse of INR 12 crores (US$ 1.46 million approx). Each franchise can buy a minimum of 15 players and maximum of 18 with seven foreign players including one from the associate nations.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, in the WPL, unlike in the IPL, teams will be allowed to play five overseas players provided one belongs to the associate nation. In the first edition of the WPL, a total of 22 matches will be played.
