<p>The latest season will have the addition of MCG and SCG with the venues not in use for the WBBL since the 2019-20 season. The high-profile venues will be in use along with the Adelaide Oval from Friday, November 24. The latest season will also see the season remain with the same format of 56-league games while the Big Bash League (BBL) was trimmed to 44 matches. The start of the season will see each team play at least one match on home turf in the first nine days of the tournament.</p>

<p>"As the best cricket league in the world and with the best players in the world, looking to start to play games in the biggest and best stadiums is a really important part of (the league’s evolution)," said Alistair Dobson, CA's general manager of Big Bash Leagues.</p>

<p>"Doing it on a smaller scale this year with three or four matches at different venues is a good way of starting to build momentum as part of a longer-term journey.</p>

<p>The MCG will be the biggest attraction of all having hosted the 2020 Women's T20 World Cup final. The contest attracted a record-crowd of audience of 86,174 but there are not many expectations from the organisers this time.</p>

<p>According to 'sportingnews.Com.Au', "The WBBL has been thrown into chaos with a COVID-19 case in Tasmania putting in doubt several matches on the opening weekend in Hobart as the state's south enters a three-day lockdown."</p>

<p>Tasmanian Premier Peter Gutwein has announced that the lockdown would start on Friday 6 pm and continue for 72 hours till Monday 6 pm. The lockdown will be lifted only subject to health advice.</p>

<p>There are four weekend games -- two each on Saturday and Sunday in the WBBL.</p>

<p>"Bearing in mind there are national and international matters to consider here in terms of the broadcast, if they do go ahead they would go ahead with no crowd and with the players remaining in a bubble," Gutwein has been quoted as saying by the website.</p>

<p>The first nine matches of the league are scheduled in the Tasmanian state capital before the caravan moves to Launceston with games also being played in Perth, Adelaide and Mackay.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) announced a revised 59-game schedule for the upcoming&nbsp;season on Thursday, reiterating Australian Cricket's commitment to making cricket the top sport for women and girls. The regular season of the WBBL|07 will take place in Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, and Western Australia. The WBBL|07 Finals Series venues are yet to be determined. The matches will take place on November 24, 25, and 27.</p>
