<p>Speaking at a rally in Mahabubabad, Modi said that KCR's party was trying to strike up a friendship with his party, the BJP.</p>

<p>"KCR realised the increasing power of BJP much earlier. For a long time, he was making an effort to strike a friendship with the BJP," said Modi.</p>

<h2><strong>A reiteration</strong></h2>

<p>As per the Hindustan Times, this is not the first time that PM Modi has made such claims.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Previously, in October, speaking at a rally in Nizamabad, he said that K Chandrasekhar Rao had visited him in Delhi. There, as per Modi, KCR expressed his wish to join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Reportedly, this meeting, as per Modi, took place after BJP won 48 seats in the 2020 Hyderabad municipal polls.</p>

The trust of Telangana is in the BJP. You have determined that the next CM of Telangana will be from BJP. The BJP has promised you that the first BJP CM in Telangana will be from the BC community (Backward Class)."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Vowing that the BJP government will look into all the scams of KCR, he said that the part considers it its responsibility to bring Telangana out of the clutches of BRS.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the 2018 assembly election, the BRS (formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi) won by a landslide, grabbing 88 out of 119 seats. The Congress, which won just 19 seats, is hoping to stage a comeback and stop KCR from a third term in office.</p>

<p>The state of Telangana was carved out of previously united Andhra Pradesh state in 2013 at the 66th year of India's independence.</p>

<p>The BJP has never been in power in the state of Telangana.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But recently, in the municipality elections in Telangana capital Hyderabad, the BJP won 48 seats. With Modi's popularity its default mode of electoral campaign, the BJP is hoping to translate it into into a bigger success.</p>

<p>While addressing a rally at Toopran area of Telangana, Modi said the INDIA alliance, an acronym for the Congress-led Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, will be wiped out of the polls in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.</p>

<p>"I have seen in the three states that "Indi alliance" (INDIA alliance) will be wiped out. The women, farmers there are going to uproot the Congress party," he said.</p>

<p>A purported fake letter being attributed to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Sivakumar created a massive furore in the political circles that saw him having a spat with the chief minister of neighbouring Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao.</p>

<p>It all started when the letter dated September 25 started circulating on social media on Sunday (Nov 4) asking the chairman of Foxconn Technology Group—one of the Apple products manufacturing partners—to relocate to Bengaluru from Hyderabad.</p>

<p>The letter said, “On behalf of our government, I propose that you consider relocating the Apple AirPods industry, which you plan to set up in Hyderabad, to&nbsp;Bangalore. This move holds numerous mutual benefits. Not only will it complement the Apple phone manufacturing industry, but it will also leverage the city’s transportation facilities, infrastructure, and available workforce. Being located in Bangalore will also enhance your international recognition.”</p>

<p>“Moreover, Bangalore, when compared to Hyderabad, is known for its safety and has a well-established IT industry with a history spanning 50 years. The city boasts superior logistics capabilities, especially when taking into account the past incidents of communal disturbances in Hyderabad, which pose a potential risk to your business,” it said.</p>

<p>“Furthermore, several international industries in Hyderabad have expressed interest in relocating to Bengaluru. We anticipate forming a friendly government in Telangana soon, assuring that you will encounter no hindrances there. Hence, it would be mutually beneficial for your ancillary industry to make the move as well,” said the letter.</p>

<p>A large contingent of the outraged population turned out to demonstrate in front of the police stations in Dabeerpura, Bhavaninagar, Reinbazar, and Mirchowk.</p>

<p>Singh was the subject of an FIR at the Dabeerpura Police Station under sections 153a, 295, and 505 of the IPC after a large number of people demonstrated in the streets to demand that something be done about him.</p>

<p>Singh and four others were taken into protective custody earlier on August 19, before comedian Munawar Faruqui's performance in Hyderabad.</p>

<p>Meteorological Centre Hyderabad on Monday reported that Telangana is likely to experience isolated rainfall in the next five days.Meteorological Centre Hyderabad scientist Sravani stated that the monsoon is expected to reach Telangana on June 5.</p>

<p>"Monsoon expected in Telangana on June 5. Isolated rainfall will be there in the entire Telangana for next five days. No synoptic situation in the entire Telangana state. Mainly low-level strong Westerlies prevail over the state," Sravani stated.</p>

<p>She added, "Rise in the temperature in the morning and thunderstorms and thundershowers will be there in the evenings. Monsoon will progress on 5th or 6th June in Telangana. Till then the temperature will be between 32 to 40 degrees. Thunderstorms and thundershowers will be there in Hyderabad."</p>

<p>The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continues to pass through Kannur, Palakkad and adjoining areas.</p>

<p>Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest monsoon into some parts of central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Kerala, some more parts of Tamil Nadu, some parts of Karnataka, and some more parts of south &amp; Central Bay of Bengal, some parts of northeast Bay of Bengal and northeastern states during next 3-4 days.</p>

<p>A trough runs from southeast Arabian Sea off north Kerala-Karnataka coast to Southwest Bay of Bengal across Kerala &amp; Tamilnadu at 3.1 km above mean sea level.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bathukamma, the floral festival of Telangana went global on Saturday as the world's tallest building Burj Khalifa was lit up in colours depicting the festival. Located in Dubai, Burj Khalifa witnessed a unique show of lights.</p>

<p>The visual feast was attributed to the efforts of Nizamabad MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who led Telangana Jagruthi to showcase states&nbsp;'Bathukamma culture and take the festival celebrations global by featuring its depiction on the worlds'&nbsp;largest screen.</p>

The organization launched a Bathukamma song 'Allipoola Vennela', which is already a superhit this festive season composed by music maestro AR Rahman, directed by ace Indian director Gautham Vasudev Menon and brought to life by a talented team of artists.</p>

<p>The show of lights was live across various platforms around the globe at 9:30 pm IST. Telangana Jagruthi made arrangements to play the Bathukamma documentary on the big screen for invited delegates and separately for the local people. The screening featured the map of India, Map of Telangana, Chief Minister KCR, Bathukamma flowers, with Alipoola Vennela playing the background as the heritage of India and Telangana outshined at Burj Khalifa today.</p>

<p>"I request the Ministry of Civil Aviation to kindly expedite finalizing the sites and getting all statutory clearances on a single-window basis so that the government can commence the infrastructure work," said Rao.</p>

<p>Rao is currently in New Delhi, where he personally met Puri and discussed the matter.</p>

<p>KCR, as Rao is popularly known, said this will enable Telangana to start non-scheduled operators` permit (NSOP) operations with its own funds.</p>

<p>Rao reminded Puri that he had requested the Prime Minister immediately after the formation of Telangana in 2014 to establish six more airports as the state has only one at Hyderabad.</p>

<p>Following discussions with the Airports Authority of India (AAI), it was decided that only no-frills airports for smaller aircraft will be developed, which may be expanded in the future for commercial operations depending on demand.</p>

<p>"Though AAI has already taken up the Obstacle Limitation Surface Survey (OLS), soil testing and other investigations at the sites and some draft reports have recently come, the final reports are yet to be given," he highlighted.</p>

<p>Rao also produced a copy of the letter he wrote to Narendra Modi on September 6, 2014 about the proposal for Puri`s reference.</p>

<p>Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 245, followed by Rangareddy (158), Karimnagar (136) and Siddipet (106) districts, a bulletin said on Monday, providing data as of 8 pm on September 6.</p>

<p>The number of individuals in home/institutional isolation was 24,596.</p>

<p>It said sufficient beds were available in government hospitals. Based on the clinical requirements, beds will be provided and treatment will be given free of cost in government hospitals.</p>

<p>Sufficient quantities of personal protection equipment (PPE) and medicines were available in hospitals, it said.</p>

<p>The fire broke out late on Thursday night at the plant situated on the Telangana-Andhra Pradesh border. Officials said at least 17 people were inside the facility when the incident took place, out of which eight managed to come out.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier, efforts were underway by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to rescue the people trapped inside the Telangana State Generation Corporation (TS Genco) plant. However, later today, officials declared that nine people stranded inside are dead.&nbsp;</p>

<p>President Ram Nath Kovind also said in a tweet he was "pained" by the loss of lives in the accident and expressed his sympathies to the bereaved families.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Pained by the loss of lives in the tragic fire accident at Srisailam hydroelectric plant in Telangana. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I wish speedy recovery for the injured," the president tweeted.</p>

Responding positively to the request, he had asked the officials to work out modalities.</p>

<p>Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday appealed to the Prime Minister to extend the lockdown for a couple of weeks to contain the spread of coronavirus.</p>

<p>"I am appealing to the Prime Minister and Government of India to extend lockdown without hesitation. Lockdown is the only weapon we have to control the spread of this disease and avoid a situation which countries like the US, Spain and Italy are facing," he told a news conference.</p>

<p>KCR said though the country`s economy would suffer because of lockdown, it can be revived by working hard and by making sacrifices over the next six months to one year. "We can revive the economy but not the dead. Human life is the most precious," he said.</p>

<p>Stating that India has so far done well to control the situation through lockdown, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief said if the lockdown was not extended, the sacrifice of three weeks would go in vain.</p>

<p>He said Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) in its survey favoured lockdown till June 3 as it predicted that the spread of COVID-19 would reach a peak by June.</p>

<p>KCR said if the lockdown was lifted on April 15, there could no control on movement of people. "All will come out at once and we will not be in a position to allow some people and stop others," he said.</p>

<p>Stating that the US is facing a terrible situation with heaps of bodies in its financial capital New York, KCR said without lockdown, India would have also faced a bad situation.</p>
