According to a media bulletin on COVID-19, the three new confirmed cases on Thursday were contact (of previous positive cases).

The three cases includes a 49-year old man, a resident of Qutbullapur in Medchal district, who is a contact. He travelled to Delhi and the patient is stable and admitted at the designated hospital, it said.

The two other confirmed cases are of a doctor couple from Hyderabad city pertaining to a 36-year old doctor and her 41-year old husband, also a doctor. Both are contact cases.

"Both the patients are stable and admitted at the designated hospital," the bulletin said.

State Health Minister E Rajender also held a meeting with health officials on the measures taken up to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

When asked about the state of AI deployment currently, the minister stated that Telangana Government has deployed AI-based systems for G2C Chatbots, identity authentication for citizen service delivery, commodity supply chain optimisation, crowd counting, criminal tracking, and other law enforcement applications.

The minister highlighted that Hyderabad City Police recently piloted an AI-enabled traffic management system, saving road time for citizens. "Effective use of citizen data helps us identify the key issues our citizens face, makes us design targeted programs and provide better citizen services," he added.

As many as 150 people have tested positive for swine flu in Telangana so far and experts fear that the number may increase in coming days.

"So far, we have tested around 370 people for swine flu, out of which 150 have reported positive. "We expect to have around 200 positive cases swine flu this season. People should take all measures to protect themselves from this disease," added Dr Shankar.

Addressing a public gathering in Sangareddy district, the AIMIM leader also took a jibe at <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/delhi-assembly-polls-former-congress-mla-ram-singh-3-others-join-aap-274084">Congress</a> and said they speak of secularism but BJP and Congress are the two faces of the same coin.

"On January 22, please use your votes wisely. People in Congress have a lot of money, take it from them. You'll be getting it due to me. Just vote for me. If they are giving you (money) then take it. Whatever they give, take it and loot it. I say to Congress to raise the rate, my price is not Rs 2000 only. I am worth more than that," Owaisi said.

Telangana Police on Friday noon briefed the media after the Police killed, in <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/four-accused-in-hyderabad-veterinary-doctors-rape-and-murder-case-killed-in-encounter-266525">an encounter on Friday</a>, four people who were accused of the rape of a woman veterinarian.&nbsp;

Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar told reporters that the Police had taken the accused to the site of the crime for recreation where they tried to escape and fired at the officers.&nbsp;

"Officers had asked them to surrender, they fired at us," Sajjanar said.

He added that the accused were arrested under the charge of gang rape.&nbsp;

"They were interrogated and examined," he said, adding that "law has done its duty".

"I can only say that law has done its duty," he said.&nbsp;

On November 27, a doctor was brutally gang-raped and killed by four persons before they burnt her body in Shahshabad area. The four accused were in judicial custody at Cherlapally Central jail in Hyderabad.

The burnt body of the 26-year-old veterinary doctor was found on November 28 under a culvert on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway.&nbsp;

The Cyberabad police had arrested four men on November 29 in connection with their involvement in the rape and murder case.

The accused were identified as Mohammad Areef, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen, and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu. Mohammad Areef (25), who worked as a driver, was the prime accused in the case.
