<p>We could not hold back our excitement when we saw Sushant's infectious smile as he removed a dupatta from his face, in the popular TV show Pavitra Rishta's promo.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We were both happy that he got a big break and that our prediction came true.</p>

<p>Sushant's career growth felt personal. We saw him evolve from the small screen to dance reality shows and eventually to Bollywood with 'Kai Po Che' (2013).</p>

<p>His was a remarkable journey, from a&nbsp;small-town boy&nbsp;who dropped out of one of India's best engineering colleges to find success in showbiz.</p>

<p>Sushant's on-screen roles reflected his real-life persona. Be it Pavitra Rishta's Manav Deshmukh- a quintessential nice guy or Kai Po Che's Ishaan- a former district-level cricketer, who wanted to establish an academy to help budding sportspersons.</p>

<p>One can't forget his portrayal of former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni in Neeraj Pandey's namesake 2016 blockbuster.</p>

<p>It is difficult to imagine someone else essaying the role of Dhoni with such ease. After all, just like MSD, Sushant came from a small town and remained humble even after achieving success.</p>

"This is some of comments coming my way. All the media and all the people who've encouraged this sort of behaviour and instigated it. This is on you. People talking about how one should have been kind to someone are doing worse to others.</p>

<p>As a virtual cold war ensues between different factions within the Indian entertainment industry over the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood’s Saif Ali Khan spoke about stars pretending to care over his death.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He slammed the celebs and called the death of Sushant Singh Rajput “awful” but hit out at those “talking rubbish” in the midst of this tragedy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In an interview he said, “There are so many people who’ve made comments so quickly. And it just seems to me that people are somewhere gaining some mileage from this poor fellow’s tragedy, you know, whether it’s to show compassion or to show interest or to show some political stance. So many people are talking rubbish in this nonstop kind of barrage on social media and it’s just embarrassing, really, I think.”</p>

<p>“Out of respect for him, for Sushant’s tragedy, maybe a day of silence or introspection would be a little more becoming than this outpouring of love – an outpouring of love from people who obviously didn’t care about him and people who famously don’t care about anybody else,” he said.</p>

<p>Saif pointed out that the industry as a whole is famously competitive and thus pretending to care is an “insult” to Sushant Singh Rajput. “I mean, we don’t care about anybody. You know, it’s a very cutthroat line of work. But to pretend that you do care is like the ultimate hypocrisy and I think that’s an insult to the dead, you know, it’s an insult to the soul that’s gone,” he said.</p>

<p>“We live in an age where people write 10 lines for you on Twitter and will walk past you on the street - won’t even touch you or shake your hand. You know, you get wished for your birthday, but people don’t actually call you. There’s no contact. People are failing people constantly. Everyone talking about him, even those saying who failed you or didn’t fail you is, I think, somewhat exploiting his name. To take any stand at the moment, apart from just sorrow, and just saying that I’m really sad that he had no way out except this - any other comment is somewhere manipulating the situation, I feel. You have come across this as an opportunity to take a shot at somebody, and you’re taking a shot,” he added.</p>

<p>On &nbsp;not taking any sides, Saif added, “These are the wrong comments to make now. I mean, you can say, listen, it’s just really bad, what happened. It’s really sad that this is the only way he could see out. But to blame anybody or to you know, draw these camps out, this is pathetic. I think it’s a function of lockdown plus social media. And it’s sad that film people can’t think beyond films. We will all assume that this terrible thing happened to him because of his films. There is more to life. Maybe he was upset about other things in his life. Maybe it was a personal reason. Maybe it’s nothing to do with films. If you can’t see beyond that, you will put everything on that – the movies you do.”</p>

Sushant Singh Rajput lost 7 films in 6 months, says politician Sanjay Nirupam

<p>Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s close friend and ‘Kedarnath’ director Abhisek Kapoor and his wife Pragya have announced charity to honour him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Abhishek and Pragya will be feeding 3400 impoverished families.</p>

<p>In a statement, they said, "It's our way of honouring him and his craft, everything he has done and achieved, to celebrate him and everything he stands for. As friends it gives us something to hold on to.”</p>

<p>Abhishek and Sushant go a long way as he had even directed the latter’s debut film, ‘Kai Po Che’’ that was released in 2013. They reunited for ‘Kedarnath’ in 2018.&nbsp;</p>

Now it is up to us to decide that who will write the history," she added.<br />

<p>It’s human to fail, to be faulty, to be distressed and to seek that love which you know you deserved, for in that love you found your strength. People have a lot of opinions about suicide. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Suicide is right, wrong, for the faint-hearted and god knows what not. No, it’s just a constant ongoing battle with severe depression, which you eventually lose, and that does not make you a weak person. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Suicide is not a spur of the moment act. The thought of it lurks around in your subconscious even while you are partying, being happy in that crowd, being out there, doing everything to seek that completeness by your standards or the one that the world imposes on yours. It’s a well thought out act. It just needs a trigger eventually to shut your gut off completely and taking your life away. Because you are just TIRED…Tired of every sham, every lie, every dream, every failure and the vast emptiness...And things went wrong too many times.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Please don’t judge, condition, blabber myths and isms. Stop a friend, or any human getting caught in this rut in the effort to seek the self. Don’t be a best friend but when someone is going through severe depression, the least you can do is tap it, and let them speak, speak and speak. They will eventually move on. But you might just save another life from moving on a bit too far away in a too far off land. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Sushant Singh Rajput, our Delhi boy, marked his debut in Bollywood with 'Kai Po Che!' in 2012 and went on to deliver massive hits like 'PK' and 'Kedarnath'. His biggest hit till date remains 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', wherein he essayed the role of our much-loved cricketer Dhoni and went on to bag his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. My eternal favourite movies of his are the romantic comedy 'Shuddh Desi Romance' and action thriller 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshi'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I loved the way he acted and made it big in Bollywood. At a time when godparents in Bollywood have become a norm, this engineer boy struggled and danced his way into the Silver screen. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Let Sushant Singh Rajput's farewell be another reminder that mental health is real. We must always listen and keep an eye out for each other, and watch for the signs because someone confiding in you may not always be saying it in words.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I am shocked! He was really hardworking. I have interacted with many actors but his willingness to put everything for the movie stood out for me. We trained for nine months and he was there every day training like a kid, putting his 100 per cent to master the sport. Very educated, had immense depth in his conversations. He had a clear thought-process in how he wants to approach the role and I treated him as a normal cricketer student and he obliged to the instructions every time. Becoming an actor is not an easy task, he gave so many super-hits, and he worked really hard for it. What we heard today is shocking and simply heartbreaking. He was a great athlete and a quick learner. I can even say he was a phenomenal cricketer,” Kiran More told WION’s Subhayan Chakraborty.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The police reached early yesterday after a domestic help informed them of <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/shocked-and-speechless-bollywood-mourns-sushant-singh-rajputs-death-305761">Sushant hanging himself</a>. According to Mumbai police sources, the actor was reportedly suffering from depression as the cops have found medical papers and anti-depressant pills from his house. "Police will be contacting Rajput's doctor and record his statement to know what type of medicines he was taking and what problem he was facing," they said.</p>

<p>As per the initial investigation yesterday, no suicide note was found from the actor's house. The police also do not suspect any foul play so far.</p>

<p>However, the actor’s family in Patna, Bihar are demanding a CBI probe into the death of their son. Sushant Singh Rajput's maternal uncle is alleging that the actor has been murdered and has appealed for a CBI probe into the incident from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi.</p>

<p>"This is a case of murder. The youth of Bihar and the Rajput Mahasabha demands a CBI enquiry into the incident. We demand a CBI enquiry from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi into the murder," said Sushant Singh Rajput's maternal uncle RC Singh.</p>

<p>The actor's last rites will be held today.</p>

<p>Sushant made a fabulous entry into Bollywood and had made a name for himself in TV prior to that.
