This means that the United States’s best basketball players will now wear SKIMS under their jerseys. The company was founded just four years ago and has become a major trendmaker in the segment.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In addition to outfitting NBA players on the court, the brand stated that it plans to show up “in unexpected ways” at key events, including NBA All-Star and the NBA In-Season Tournament. There are however no details on these activities but since the company is headed by Kim Kardashian, we can expect this to be fun.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a statement, Kim Jones said, “The idea for the collaboration came about when my team and I were sitting around a table at the studio in Rome. Suddenly, all the women went silent and started looking at their phones. I didn’t know what was going on, but they were waiting for the launch of the new SKIMS collection. <p>Kim Kardashian West recently recorded new success when her line of face masks became sold out within the first hour of release. Capitalising on the coronavirus pandemic, Kim Kardashian launched a line of face masks under the name of her shapewear label, Skims.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The non-medical masks come in five skin tones and there is reportedly now a waiting list for them. But while the masks must be a success story for the TV star, it has also attracted some criticism with some accusing Kim of “casual racism”.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Basically, a controversy stoked when a black model was seen sporting a lighter coloured mask that did not match her skin tone while the others in the photograph had masks that matched theirs. Netizens pointed that this was racism as it was casually denigrating that model’s colour.&nbsp;</p>

Kim, on Instagram, revealed the new name - `SKIMS Solutionwear`."My fans and followers are a huge inspiration to me - I`m always listening to their feedback and opinions, and am so grateful they shared their ideas for a new brand name. After much thought and consideration, I`m excited to announce the launch of SKIMS Solutionwear," she wrote.<br />

Explaining the new moniker, the 38-year-old star said, "I love the idea that the pieces will be the closest thing to someone`s skin, skimming with amazingly soft and supportive fabrics which accentuate the best parts of our bodies."<br />

The collection will be available on September 10 and will range in sizes from XXS to 5XL. In June, the star announced the upcoming shape-wear line with the name `Kimono`, which quickly received flak with claims that she culturally appropriated the term for a traditional Japanese garment. She also received criticism for "disrespecting" the Japanese culture.</p>
