Three men have been detained on suspicion of preparing a serious violent crime after their conversations on board an easyJet flight from Slovenia to London prompted the pilot to divert to Cologne, Germany, local police and state prosecutors said in a joint statement. A high alert was sounded along the coast of the Indian city of Mumbai and adjoining areas on Thursday after a group of men were spotted moving suspiciously near a naval base at Uran in Raigad district, leading to multi-agency search operations.

Late on Thursday night, the police released a sketch of one of the suspects and circulated it among all the investigating agencies. 
 
The sketch was based on the description provided by the three school students who reportedly spotted the men near the naval base.
A reporter from Indian national daily DNA &nbsp;tweeted the sketch released by the police.

Belgian police arrested two men suspected of planning an attack in the country after house searches on Friday evening, federal prosecutors said on Saturday. 
 
The two, named as 33-year-old Nourredine H and his brother Hamza H, will appear before a judge on Saturday to determine whether they should be held in custody beyond an initial 24 hours. 
 
The federal prosecution office said in a statement that police had carried out seven house searches in the region of Mons and a further house search in Liege. No weapons or explosives were found.
