<p>The 71-year-old Dominique Pelicot has been accused of repeatedly raping and enlisting strangers to abuse his heavily intoxicated wife in their home over a decade.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Initially, he was due to testify this week but was excused due to his ill health. He is scheduled to testify on Monday (Sep 16).&nbsp;</p>

<p>The police said that the trio locked the hospital from inside and turned off CCTV cameras before attacking the nurse.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Moreover, the alleged attackers&nbsp;were also drinking alcohol before trying to assault the nurse, which is also an offence in the dry state of Bihar.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Pandey said that a team was rushed to the hospital and three people were arrested after taking safe custody of the nurse.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When the wife complained that she was facing gynaecological issues and contracted a sexually transmitted disease, Pelicot accused her of having an affair, the daughter wrote in the book.</p>

<p>Darian said that when Gisele raised her need to get treatment for the unexplained illness, her father asked, "So, what are you doing with your days?"</p>
