MMA fighter Conor McGregor's wax statue has been removed from public viewing by the National Wax Museum Plus in Dublin, in the wake of his civil trial case.

A jury at the High Court in the Irish capital found McGregor guilty of assaulting Nikita Hand and raping her in a hotel in December 2018 in Dublin.

The MMA fighter was asked to pay Hand nearly €250,000 (approx $264122) in damages.

The Additional DCP&nbsp;said that the police were alerted by a child who spotted a naked woman wandering in Neelkanth Colony around 3:45 am (local time)&nbsp;on Tuesday, News18 reported.&nbsp;

Sharma added that a patrolling sub-inspector reached the spot and took the woman to MY Hospital in an ambulance.&nbsp;

He said that Sonu was arrested while he was wearing the same clothes as spotted in the CCTV footage.&nbsp;

The suspect, Sonu, was produced before a local court on Wednesday (Oct 23)&nbsp;and was remanded in judicial custody.

According to the investigation, the woman had "walked for about half a kilometre without clothes after being assaulted", a police officer said.&nbsp;

Later, during the investigation,&nbsp;Sonu confessed to being under the influence of drugs on Monday evening. He further said that when he tried to leave, the woman, followed him.&nbsp;

The police constable had come to Kanpur for the Karwa Chauth rituals.

It comes ahead of an inaugural Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children in Colombia next month.

UNICEF said its findings highlight the urgent need for intensified global action, including by&nbsp;strengthening laws and helping children recognize and report sexual violence.

UNICEF said sexual violence cuts across geographical, cultural, and economic boundaries, but Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest number of victims, with 79 million girls and women, or 22 per cent affected. Eastern and South-Eastern Asia follow with 75 million, or 8 per cent.

In its data for women and girls, UNICEF estimated 73 million, or nine&nbsp;per cent, were affected in Central and Southern Asia; 68 million, or 14 per cent, in Europe and Northern America; 45 million, or 18 per cent, in Latin America and the Caribbean, and 29 million, or 15 per cent, in Northern Africa and Western Asia.

Oceania, with six&nbsp;million, had the highest number affected by percentage, at 34 per cent.

Risks were higher, rising to one&nbsp;in four, in "fragile settings," including those with weak institutions, UN&nbsp;peacekeeping forces, or large numbers of refugees, the report found.

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell called sexual violence against children "a stain on our moral conscience.”

"It inflicts deep and lasting trauma, often by someone the child knows and trusts, in places where they should feel safe."

This leads to re-traumatisatoin for the survivors, which often causes mental and physical ailments, including PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder.

One-third of victims were asked what they did to stop the offence while it was happening, said the study, while&nbsp;15 per cent faced questions about what they were wearing.

And more disturbingly, 12 per cent were asked if the crime was just 'regretful or bad sex'.

The NGO sought an end to such rape myths being used in court, and not seek survivor's sexual history during cross-examination.

It quoted one survivor as saying that taking the court stand was like "walking to the gallows".

The NGO said that 50 per cent of cases it examined were adjourned with no explanation, for up to four times.

Suicidal thoughts are among the severe psychological impacts of&nbsp;rape survivors who appeared for cross-examinations in courts.

For cases to go to court, adult survivors wait for an average of three years, while youth rape cases take up to 2.4 years to reach court.

Government data showed that less than one in six rape victims report the crime, said a report in The Guardian.

Gisele was drugged to the point, that she had no memory of the rapes and said that the videos are proof of what she suffered.&nbsp;

The principal of a government primary school in the Indian state of&nbsp;Gujarat’s Dahod district was arrested for allegedly killing his student, a six-year-old girl after she resisted his attempt to sexually molest her, police said on Sunday (Sep 22).

The girl’s body was found inside the school premises in a village of Singvad taluka on Thursday (Sep 19), the official said.

As per Superintendent of Police, Rajdeepsinh Zala, the school principal, Govind Nat, smothered the girl after she fended off his attempt to sexually molest her.&nbsp;

"Around 10:20 am on Thursday, the principal, who was passing by in his car, agreed to take the child to school in the vehicle at her mother's request. Students and teachers told police that the girl did not attend school that day," police told local media.

The molester narrated the incident and said that he tried to sexually molest the girl on their way to school. When she resisted, he covered her mouth and nose to stop her from screaming, which made the girl unconscious, Zala said.

"The principal reached the school and parked his car with the girl's body inside. At 5 pm, he took out the body and dumped it behind the school building. He then planted her school bag and slippers in her classroom," Zala added.

When the child did not return home after school hours, her parents and relatives launched a search and found her lying unconscious in the compound behind the school building. The child was taken to the Limkheda Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her dead, he added.

A 6-year-old girl was saved from an alleged rape attempt by a group of monkeys in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat city. The parents of the girl, a UKG class student, registered a complaint against the unidentified accused, who has been charged under the POCSO Act and is on the run, police said on Sunday (Sep 22).&nbsp;

As per the girl’s parents, an unknown man tried to lure their child to an abandoned house on Saturday (Sep 21), where he took off her clothes. When the man tried to sexually assault the girl, a troop of monkeys aggressively rushed towards him, which forced the man to leave the minor and flee from the scene.

Upon reaching home, the frightened child narrated her ordeal to the parents and informed them how she the perpetrator ran away when some angry monkeys came around.&nbsp;

Baghpat Circle officer Harish Bhadoria told Time Of India: "We've heard about the incident involving monkeys and are investigating the matter. Following the parents' complaint, an FIR was registered under BNS sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) and the POCSO Act. More sections will be added if needed. We're trying to identify and nab the accused."

Police further said that the man first took the girl to the street near a religious building and then to the abandoned house, where tried to rape her. The girl also told her parents that he threatened to kill her and her family members if she resisted him.&nbsp;

Police are investigating the incident currently.

He has been on trial along with 50 other men who are facing the accusation of ‘aggravated rape’ of his wife Gisèle Pélicot.&nbsp;

The&nbsp;71-year-old also accepted the crimes speaking about which his own daughter called him "one of the greatest sexual predators" in recent years.

"Today, I maintain that, with the obligations we all have, I am a rapist, like everyone in this room. They cannot say otherwise," he said.&nbsp;

Dominique spoke about the alleged crimes he had suffered as a child. The 71-year-old&nbsp;revealed that he was raped as a nine-year-old and had witnessed another sex attack at the age of 14.

"I remember nothing from my youth but shocks and traumas," Pélicot said.&nbsp;

He said that everything changed when he met his wife in his teen years.&nbsp;

Reacting to the dramatic confession of her husband in the court, Gisèle said, "For me, it is difficult to hear it. For fifty years, I lived with a man who I would never have imagined for a single second that he could do these acts. I had complete confidence in this man."&nbsp;

Dominique pleaded for sympathy from the court and said, "I am guilty of what I did. I subjected my wife, my children, my grandchildren to this. I regret what I did. I ask for forgiveness even if it is not forgivable."

He added that his wife "did not deserve this."&nbsp;

The CBI alleged that Mondal took an "unusually long time to arrive at the scene of the crime," even though it was "only a five-minute drive." According to the investigative agency, the Tala police station in-charge was "informed about the incident at 10.03 am but he reached the spot at 11 am."

Furthermore, the lawyer pointed out a "14-hour delay in registering an FIR," and also raised questions regarding the filing of a "general diary by the police, stating that the victim was lying unconscious".

"He was obligated to register the FIR. They tried to pass it off as a suicide. There was a clear dereliction of duty. Custodial interrogation of both individuals is necessary."
