<p>"Just as the divine play of Lord Ram's devotees unfolded after his pran pratishtha, similarly, this year's Holi will be wonderful in its own way," the Ram temple chief priest added.</p>

<p>Das mentioned that they will apply gulal (coloured powder) and offer items such as kachori, gujiya, puri, kheer&nbsp;(pudding), and other delicacies to Lord Ram, with prasad being distributed afterward.</p>

<p>Highlighting the extraordinary fervor, Das credited it to the pran pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram.</p>

Ayodhya gears up for grand Holi celebrations post Ram Mandir consecration

<p>A senior leader A Raja from DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), a prominent political party in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, has ignited a political furore with his comments on Lord Ram. In a speech, the leader reportedly said, “If you say it's this God, this is Jai Sri Ram, this is Bharat Mata ki Jai, then we and Tamil Nadu will never accept Bharat Mata and Jai Shri Ram….Tamil Nadu won’t accept. <p>These remarks have triggered a fresh confrontation of the DMK, which is part of the INDIA alliance, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The party at the Centre accused Raja of advocating the "Balkanisation of India".&nbsp;</p>

<p>The head of BJP's IT cell Amit Malviya shared a translation of A Raja's speech made in Madurai.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate condemned Raja's statement. She said that Ram belongs to everyone while also urging restraint in public discourse.</p>

<p>BJP MP Satyapal Singh on Saturday (Feb 10) while speaking in Parliament called the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya a "historic".</p>

<p>Stating that Lord Ram is everywhere, Singh said that the construction&nbsp;of Ram Temple was not a "communal" issue.</p>

<p>"I am fortunate to get the opportunity to speak about the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram's idol&nbsp;on January 22. It is historic to see the Pran Pratishtha and offer prayers to Lord Ram at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya," he said while initiating the discussion on the consecration ceremony during the last session of the ongoing Budget session of Parliament ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.</p>

<p>Singh further&nbsp;slammed the previous Congress-led UPA government for filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court in 2007 at the time the Ram Setu project was taken up.</p>

<p>"In 2007, when the Ram Setu project was taken up, the UPA government filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court stating that there is no such person as Ram; it&nbsp;is a myth," he said.</p>

<p>Union Home Minister Amit Shah while addressing Lok Sabha on the Ram Temple resolution said that January 22 would be remembered as a historic day for decades to come as it was when the "aspirations of Ram devotees were fulfilled."</p>

<p>"January 22 will be a historic day for the years to come...It was the day that fulfilled the hopes and aspirations of all Ram devotees," Shah said.&nbsp;It "was the beginning of great India...Those who imagine a country without Lord Ram do not know our country well and they represent the days of colonialism".</p>

<p>"No one can read the history of this country by ignoring the Ram Mandir movement. Since 1528, every generation has seen this movement in some form or the other. This matter remained stuck for a long time. This dream had to be fulfilled during the time of the Modi government," he added.</p>

<p>Saturday (Feb 10) will be the last session of the ongoing budget session of Parliament and also of the current Lok Sabha ahead of the general elections that are likely&nbsp;to take place in April-May 2024.</p>

<p>Earlier, the budget session was scheduled to conclude on Feb 9 but was extended by a day.</p>

<p>Rajya Sabha will also hold a short-duration discussion on the Ram Temple consecration ceremony held in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya on Jan 22 and on the White Paper that was put out by the Modi government in the Parliament on Thursday (Feb 8).</p>

<p>Macron, who is on a two-day official visit to India, will be the chief guest at the 75th Republic Day celebrations to be held in New Delhi on Friday.</p>

<p>It is pertinent to note that the grand, star-studded consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple was held in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya on Monday (Jan 22) with PM Modi performing the main rituals.</p>

<h2><strong>PM Modi, Marcon hold mega roadshow in Jaipur</strong></h2>

<p>Both leaders held a mega roadshow on the streets of the pink city and were welcomed by citizens in large numbers.</p>

<p>The crowd also showered flower petals on PM Modi and French President Macron.</p>

<p>Following the roadshow, the Indian prime minister and the French president visited Hawa Mahal, also known as the 'Palace of Breeze', which was built in the year 1799 as an extension to the Royal City Palace of Jaipur.</p>

<p>After this, the two interacted over a cup of tea at a local shop and the French President made the payment through UPI.&nbsp;</p>

<p>PM Modi then explained the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) digital payments system to the French President.</p>

<p>PM Modi took to his official social media and hailed ties between India and France. He said that it was a matter of great pride that French President Emmanuel Macron will be taking part in the 75th Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi on Friday (Jan 26).</p>

<p>He further expressed&nbsp;happiness that the French leader commenced his visit to India from Jaipur, which is a city known for its rich culture and heritage.</p>

<p>"Welcome to India, my friend President @EmmanuelMacron. I am happy that President Macron begins his India visit from Jaipur in Rajasthan, a land with rich culture, heritage and talented people," he wrote on X.</p>

<p>PM Modi performed the consecration of Ram Temple on Monday (Jan 22) and called the ceremony a "moment of celebration".</p>

<p>"This is a moment of celebration as well as the moment of a reflection of Indian society's maturity. It is an occasion of not merely triumph but humility too. The history of the world is itself proof that many countries get strangled in their own history and such countries faced difficulties when they tried to solve their problems...but the way, our country untied the knots of history, is proof that our future is going to be more beautiful than our past," Modi said.</p>

<p>The Indian prime minister called the temple's construction a symbol of harmony, patience, peace, and integration in the country.</p>

<p>"There was also a time when some people used to say 'Ram Mandir bana toh aag lag jaegi' (the construction of the temple will set off a firestorm). Such people could not understand the purity of India's social spirit. The construction of this temple of Ram Lalla is also a symbol of peace, patience, mutual harmony and coordination of the Indian society. We are seeing that this construction is not giving birth to any fire, but to energy," the PM said.</p>

<p>PM Modi unveiled the 51-inch idol of Lord Ram at the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony after priests carried out hour-long rituals. He then performed the symbolic act of opening the eyes of the idol.</p>

<p>"The stone is 2.5 billion years old," said HS Venkatesh, Director of the National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM), Bengaluru, while speaking to various media outlets.&nbsp;</p>

"It has been designed to last for more than 1,000 years," he added.</p>

<p>As per media reports, the stone was selected from the village Jayapura Hobli in Mysuru district, which is famous for high-quality granite mines.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The reports suggest that the rock belongs to the pre-Cambrian era which is said to have started some four billion plus years ago.&nbsp;</p>
