<p>Associated Newspapers, a publisher of the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday and the Mail Online, one of the most widely read news websites in the world, said it "utterly and unambiguously" denied the allegations.</p>

<p>The others involved in the litigation are the actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost, Elton John's husband and filmmaker David Furnish, and Doreen Lawrence, the mother of Black teenager Stephen Lawrence who was murdered in a racist attack in 1993.</p>

<p>The individuals had become aware of "highly distressing" evidence revealing they had been victims of breaches of privacy by Associated Newspapers, law firm Hamlins said in a statement.</p>

<p>It said the breaches included placing listening devices inside people's cars and homes, commissioning the bugging of live, private telephone calls, payment of police officials for sensitive information, and impersonating individuals to obtain medical records.</p>

<p>"They have now therefore banded together to uncover the truth, and to hold the journalists responsible fully accountable, many of whom still hold senior positions of authority and power today," Hamlins said in its statement.</p>

<p>Hamlins said it was representing&nbsp;Harry, younger son of King Charles, and Frost, while Lawrence, Hurley, John and Furnish are being represented by the law firm gunnercooke.</p>

<p>"We utterly and unambiguously refute these preposterous smears which appear to be nothing more than a pre-planned and orchestrated attempt to drag the Mail titles into the phone hacking scandal concerning articles up to 30 years old," a spokesman for the publisher said.</p>

<p>"These unsubstantiated and highly defamatory claims - based on no credible evidence - appear to be simply a fishing expedition by claimants and their lawyers, some of whom have already pursued cases elsewhere."</p>

<p>Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has already brought a number of lawsuits against Associated Newspapers' publications.</p>

<p>He is currently suing the Mail on Sunday for libel over an article which stated he had tried to keep secret details of his legal fight to reinstate his police protection, and last year won damages from the same paper over claims he had turned his back on the Royal Marines.</p>

<p>His wife Meghan also won a privacy case against the publisher last December for printing a letter she had written to her estranged father.</p>

<p>The couple's relations with Britain's tabloid press collapsed following their marriage in 2018, and they have previously said they would have "zero engagement" with four major British papers, including the Daily Mail, accusing them of false and invasive coverage.</p>

<p>Media intrusion was a major factor they cited in their decision to step down from royal duties and move to the United States two years ago.</p>

<p>Elton John also defended the couple himself after newspapers accused them of hypocrisy for using his private jet for a flight to stay at his home in the south of France while calling for action to tackle climate change.</p>

<p>A spokesperson for the couple said they had no comment beyond the Hamlins' statement.</p>

<p>Others involved in the action have also previously brought legal action against major media organisations. Frost was awarded 260,250 pounds ($290,595.15) compensation in 2015 after she and seven other celebrity figures sued Mirror Group Newspapers for hacking messages on their phones.</p>

Prince Harry, Elton John and others sue UK paper group over privacy breaches

<p>A lawyer for Prince Harry told a London court Friday that the UK "will always be his home", appealing a government refusal to provide the British royal with police protection even if he pays for it.</p>

<p>Harry and his wife Meghan lost their UK taxpayer-paid protection when they quit frontline royal duties in 2020 and moved to California.</p>

<p>The Duke of Sussex, who was not in court, is seeking a judicial review after the interior ministry declined his request to pay himself for UK police protection.</p>

<p>The couple have their own private security team in the US but Harry says that they do not have adequate jurisdiction or access to UK intelligence necessary to keep his family safe.</p>

<p>"This claim is about the fact that the claimant does not feel safe when he is in the UK," Harry's lawyer Shaheed Fatima told the Royal Courts of Justice.</p>

<p>"It goes without saying that he does want to come back to see family and friends and to continue to support the charities that are so close to his heart.</p>

<p>"Most of all, this is and always will be his home."</p>

<p>Last summer, Harry's car was chased by paparazzi photographers as he left a charity event in London. The next day, he and elder brother William&nbsp;unveiled a statue of their late mother, Princess Diana.</p>

<p>She died in Paris in 1997 after a high-speed car chase also involving photographers, and Harry's relations with the UK media remain fraught.</p>

<p>The Home Office's lawyer Robert Palmer dismissed Harry's offer to pay for police protection as "irrelevant".</p>

<p>"Personal protective security by the police is not available on a privately financed basis," Palmer said in a written submission.</p>

<p>Instead, the government's "Royal and VIP Executive Committee" (RAVEC) decides on whether to provide Harry with police protection depending on the reason for his presence in the UK.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"A case-by-case approach rationally and appropriately allows RAVEC to implement a responsive approach to reflect the applicable circumstances," Palmer said.</p>

The Home Office's lawyer Robert Palmer dismissed Harry's offer to pay for police protection as "irrelevant". "Personal protective security by the police is not available on a privately financed basis," Palmer said in a written submission. Instead, the government's "Royal and VIP Executive Committee" (RAVEC) decides on whether to provide Harry with police protection depending on the reason for his presence in the UK. "A case-by-case approach rationally and appropriately allows RAVEC to implement a responsive approach to reflect the applicable circumstances," Palmer said.

The paper argued the duchess always intended the letter`s contents to become public and it formed part of a media strategy, pointing out she had admitted in court papers discussing it with her communications secretary. <p>Later in the day, Harry took out time to speak with the press that had gathered at Windsor. Elated at becoming a father for the first time, he said,&nbsp;"Yes, I am very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning. A very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It's been the most amazing experience I can ever possibly imagine. How any woman does... what they do is beyond comprehension. But we are both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there."</p>

<p>He mentioned that he was there when Meghan gave birth to their child. Harry further added, "It's been amazing. So, I just wanted to share this with everybody. Still thinking about names. The baby is a little bit overdue so we've had a little bit of time to think about it. But we're still… That's the next bit for us."</p>

<p>Harry also shared details on when the world will get to see his bundle of joy and said, "I think we will be seeing you guys in probably two days' time as planned as a family to be able to share it with you guys and so everyone can see the baby. I have not been at many births. This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible."</p>

<p>They toured The Royal Moroccan Equestrian Club Dar Essalam, next to the royal palace in Rabat, where they learnt about a programme helping children with autism and other conditions.</p>

<p>The next stop was a cooking event at the Villa des Ambassadedur hotel with food served up by children helped by a range of other projects, and by chef Moha Fedal, host of Morocco's version of Masterchef.</p>

<p>The two had first gone to a reception hosted by the British ambassador. Meghan wore an elegant dress for the occasion.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The couple is said to have flown back to London on Monday evening, after the tea party. This is only the second time that a member of the royal family has visited Morocco after Harry’s father, Prince Charles visited in 2011. Queen Elizabeth visited Morocco in 1980.</p>

<p>Meghan Markle threw a baby shower on Wednesday in New York for her close friends. Her celeb friends Serena Williams, Amal Clooney and others were spotted exiting Mark Hotel in Manhattan after attending the party.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The first amongst others to leave from the shower on a rainy afternoon was human rights lawyer, Amal Clooney. Also spotted were Abigail Spencer, Jessica Mulroney, designer Misha Nonoo, makeup artist Daniel Martin. With all her close friends rooting for Meghan, what does raise eyebrows is the absence of Priyanka Chopra.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the girls left one after another, as they were escorted to their respective vehicles by the security present.&nbsp;</p>

The cottage was a royal gift to Abdul Karim by Queen Victoria, in recognition of his service and as a sign of her affection towards her Indian aide and confidant.</p>

<p>The British monarch referred to Abdul as her “Munshi”, who was just 24-year-old when he arrived in England from Agra to present Victoria with a special mohar, or gold coin, to mark her Golden Jubilee in 1887. He eventually became a close aide to the ageing monarch, who bestowed many gifts on him including Frogmore Cottage for his own use.</p>

<p>The film ‘Victoria &amp; Abdul’ was made on this special relationship in 2017.&nbsp;</p>
