<p>In a never-thought-of nightmarish situation, an Alaska Airlines flight - from Honolulu to Anchorage - was forced to turn back after its bathroom sink malfunctioned and flooded the cabin of the Boeing 737 Max 9 jet with four inches of water.</p>

<p>According to the flight tracking website FlightAware, Alaska Airlines Flight 828 took off from Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport at 10:16 pm on March 29.</p>

<p>The plane was headed to Anchorage when "an issue with water from the lavatory sink shortly after takeoff" occurred, said the airline, in a statement to PEOPLE.</p>

<p>Passenger Dustin Parker recorded the on-flight video footage in which the flight attendants were seen using paper towels to try and&nbsp;soak the water which had filled in the entire centre aisle.</p>

<p>The United States Department of Justice has started a criminal investigation into the Boeing jet door blowout case which had created a gaping hole on the Alaska Airlines aeroplane in January, reported the Wall Street Journal on Saturday (Mar 9).&nbsp;</p>

<p>The newspaper, citing documents, said that some passengers and crew members, which included pilots and flight attendants who had boarded the January 5&nbsp;flight, were contacted by the investigators.</p>

<p>Alaska Airlines'&nbsp;plane&nbsp;door blew out seven minutes after it took off from Portland, Oregon which forced the pilots to make an emergency landing.</p>

US: Man steals plane, crashes it near Texas-Oklahoma border and dies

<p>Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday (Jan 26) said it was "obvious" that the Russian IL-76 military transport plane, which was carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war, was shot down by Ukraine over the border region of Belgorod this week.</p>

<p>As per claims made by Moscow, the plane was flying to the region before the prisoner swap which was to take place on Wednesday (Jan 24) when it was hit by anti-aircraft missiles. It said&nbsp;there were 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war present inside the aircraft.</p>

<p>Ukraine has neither confirmed nor denied shooting the plane, however, Kyiv&nbsp;has&nbsp;have been questioning if the prisoners were really on board.</p>

I’m simply sharing this because it’s somewhat entertaining, and no I did not film anything,” the user wrote in the post which has got more than a thousand upvotes.</p>

<p>The Reddit user says that they boarded the plane and as other passengers were taking their seats, a man who was “audibly disgruntled” or "maybe hungover", as the post said, was muttering something under his breath.</p>

<p>After a while, without any apparent provocation, the man said, “You thought that was rude? Well how about this smell,” and farted.</p>

<p>“I don’t know what provoked that comment, and while kind of funny to overhear, it was uncalled for especially coming from a grown man on an airplane nonetheless,” wrote the Reddit user.</p>
