This includes a&nbsp;Carl Walder pistol, a&nbsp;Beretta Xtreme shotgun, a&nbsp;double barrel silver pigeon shotgun and an M16 A1 rifle. Together, the cost of these weapons runs into millions.

"There is a lot of shame associated with a woman's body, with the general bodily functions even. They are not talked about," Ahmed says.&nbsp;

One member shared her struggle with the medical condition vaginismus, which helped others identify their own symptoms.&nbsp;

Ahmed says she lost a family friend to breast cancer after the disease went undiagnosed and untreated for too long because she was "too ashamed to talk about her body with anyone."

"This isn't a new story. This is something that happens to a lot of women," Ahmed insists.

Shattering stereotypes

The group provides a welcome respite for its members, who frequently face online abuse when they post publicly, and encourages women to share success stories as well as problems.

But the diverse narratives have also brought a range of criticism.&nbsp;

Ahmed has been accused of promoting divorce and "wild" behaviour, even as more progressive voices have slammed the group for allowing conservative views to be shared.

Her work is challenged from "almost every angle", Ahmed says, pointing to an element of internalised misogyny among some members.&nbsp;

But she says her aim is not to "serve a small niche", rather to shatter stereotypes and break norms.

"If people were already well aware, we wouldn't need spaces like this. It's exhausting, frustrating and takes every drop of my strength to keep continuing.&nbsp;

"But every time someone changes their mind or we get success stories -- instant gratification!" she tweeted recently.

Ahmed and her team try to handle conflicts sensitively -- allowing a wide range of views to foster dialogue and debate -- an approach that has seen membership swell.

We "just try to tell the women to be who they are, to not be ashamed of being themselves, to speak their minds," she says.&nbsp;

Splinter groups have struggled to achieve a fraction of Soul Sisters Pakistan's success or reach -- she says there are three to six million conversations on the site each month.&nbsp;

The coronavirus pandemic has halted production and Ahmed recently moved to Canada so the programme is on hiatus.

"My government is fully cognizant of the suffering of our people in the wake of the heavy rains, especially the people of Karachi. I am personally monitoring the relief and rescue operations and am in constant contact with Chairman NDMA and Governor Sindh for regular updates," tweeted Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said the government has "not abandon the people of Karachi in their time of crisis".

"We will be announcing a plan for a permanent solution to the problems caused by floods by cleaning of nullahs, fixing of the sewage system &amp; resolving the huge challenge of water supply to the people of Karachi. We will not abandon the people of Karachi in their time of crisis," Khan added.

30 people killed in Karachi floods so far

Seeking to wriggle out of the FATF's grey list, Pakistan has imposed tough financial sanctions on 88 banned terror groups and their leaders, including Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar and Dawood Ibrahim, by ordering the seizure of all of their properties and freezing of bank accounts, a media report said on Saturday.

The orders, which were made public late on Friday, identified dozens of individuals, including the Taliban's chief peace negotiator Abdul Ghani Baradar and several members of the Haqqani family, including Sirajuddin, the current head of the Haqqani network and deputy head of the Taliban.

The list of sanctioned groups included others besides the Taliban and were in keeping with a five-year-old United Nations resolution sanctioning the Afghan group and freezing their assets.

The Paris-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF) had&nbsp;put Pakistan on the "grey list" in June 2018 and asked Islamabad to implement a plan of action by the end of 2019, but the deadline was extended later due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The legislation was part of the efforts by Pakistan to move from the FATF's grey list to the white list.

In its third and final plenary held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic in June, the FATF decided to keep Pakistan in the "grey list" as Islamabad failed to check the flow of money to terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The plenary was held under the Chinese Presidency of Xiangmin Liu.

With Pakistan's continuation in the 'grey list', it will be difficult for the country to get financial aid from the IMF, World Bank, ADB, and the European Union, thus further enhancing problems for the nation which is in a precarious financial situation.

If Pakistan fails to comply with the FATF directive by October, there is every possibility that the global body may put the country in the 'Black List' along with North Korea and Iran.

The FATF is an inter-governmental body established in 1989 to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system.

The FATF currently has 39 members including two regional organisations, the European Commission and Gulf Cooperation Council.&nbsp;

Pakistan's aviation authority has suspended 15 more pilots for possessing dubious licenses, taking the number of those taken off duty for flying with fake credentials in the country to 93, according to a media report on Saturday.

They were suspended by the Aviation Division on Friday. These are among the 262 pilots, who were grounded and put under investigation by the aviation ministry last month, for possessing suspicious licences, according to a Pakistani newspaper. The licences of 28 other pilots have already been cancelled.

Abdul Sattar Khokhar, Spokesman for the Aviation Division, said a total of 262 pilots were identified as possessing fake licences by the Board of Inquiry and grounded immediately after identification on the instructions of the government.

He said out of these 262 pilots, the federal Cabinet had approved cancellation of the licences of 28.

These 28 pilots will not be able to undertake any flying duty and their licences have been cancelled after proper legal procedures under which the pilots were given an opportunity of hearing.

Meanwhile, Serene Air, a private airliner, has stopped paying salary to its pilots and first officers who have been identified as possessing fake licences.

The human resource department of the airline informed them that they would not be paid from June 29 till the issue was resolved.

Earlier, the Aviation Division had provided a list of 10 pilots of the private airline having fake licences. 
Of the 10 pilots, three had already left the airline, while the remaining have been grounded, the report said.

The decision, disclosed on an FAA spreadsheet dated July 15 that was posted on an agency website and confirmed by an agency official, means the US&nbsp;air safety agency determined&nbsp;Pakistan&nbsp;does not achieve international standards and now has a Category 2 rating.

Pakistan&nbsp;last month grounded almost a third of its pilots after discovering they may have falsified their qualifications. The&nbsp;Pakistani embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The new rating means&nbsp;Pakistan&nbsp;airlines could be subject to additional inspections at US&nbsp;airports and could not add additional flights.

A company spokesman told Reuters last week the airline was planning to expand the current special flights arrangements to re-initiate a regular schedule from&nbsp;Pakistan&nbsp;to the United States to provide direct flights.

US regulators downgrade Pakistan's air safety rating

Pressure is mounting on the Pakistan government to review its China policy or risk the prospect of facing global isolation and condemnation along with China in the wake of China`s clash with India in Eastern Ladakh.
